After finding somewhere to place his mobile suit, Emil decided to go check out the city inside Neo Hong Kong. The streets were full with people, and the town itself was bustling with life. Emil thought that he might be able to hide here for a while, so he can find someone to fix his Mobile Suit. In the worst case scenario, he figured he might have to do it himself.
Emil walked down a street, when he heard laughter from somewhere nearby. He decided to check it out, so he peeked into a building with bright neon lights. The building seems to be some sort of bar, full with all kinds of people. In the far corner of the bar, Emil could've sworn he saw some Zeon soldiers having fun, drinking with earth federation soldiers. That's great, there's some people that doesn't just hate eachother.. too bad not everybody can be like that. he thought while smiling.
Taking a seat next to the counter, he tried getting the attention of the bartender.
"Er.. Hey, I'd like a beer." he said, trying to overwhelm all the other sounds in the bar. "Comin' right up!" was the answer he got. Drinking his beer, he thought he might as well stay here for a while, since there's less chance he'll be found by unpleasant people if he stays in crowded places. About an hour later Emil had had a few drinks, and had calmed down a bit and loosened up. He had been talking a bit with the bartender, but it was a busy night, so he couldn't get through him too much. Suddenly, someone called out his name.
"Hey Emil!"
As soon as he turned around to check out who it was that called out to him, he were embraced by someone. This was a feeling he recognized, though. He knew it could possibly only be one person, so he called her out, as well.
"Laura.."
She let go of him and answered quickly and happily. "Of course it's me, who else would do something like this for you?" Laura still had that amazing smile of hers, and seeing her again relieved Emil quite a bit. Finally someone I know..
Emil was a bit curious as to why she was here, though. So he decided that asking her bluntly about it might be the best choice.
"Er.. I'm really happy you're here, but.. why are you here?"
Laura smiled even more as she answered him. "Oh, don't be silly, I'm here for you, of course. And how I got here, and knew you were here? Let's just say.. Don't underestimate us women, alright?" These answers sent a little chill down Emil's spine, but he decided to shake it off.
She's probably kidding, I guess it's just a coincidence.
Emil spaced off for a little while, and Laura just kept staring at his face, smiling. After a short while, she started talking again. "Say, you don't have anywhere to stay, do you? I've got a small place around here, and there's a spot there for you, if you want it." Suddenly Emil heard the voice again, something that hadn't happened in a long while.
Don't do it! She's obviously plotting something!
Emil talked back to the voice, "I doubt that, there's no reason for her to do something like that." Laura seemed a bit confused, which Emil noticed, so he answered her question. "I'd love that. I've had troubles finding somewhere to stay." Laura smiled even more after she got his answer, and she hugged his arm. "Alright then, let's go before you get too drunk!" She dragged him by his arm out of the bar, and toward her home.
