ZGMF: Post-Garma Event Discussion

Okay, anyway as promised here are the results of dialogue conducted about our post-Garma event plans on the Command Board. Most of these ideas have been agreed upon in principle by us, but please feel free to discuss them and bring up any ideas or concerns you have about them.



Week 8
- Week 8 is (AFAIK) the week immediately following the Garma event. It will primarily be a recovery / reorganization week, where ships and PCs will recover and be grouped to prepare for Week 9 and beyond.
- Chris would like to form a small, tactically-oriented Schuzstaffel fleet. Exact personnel for this fleet hasn't been 100% agreed upon (* indicates debated), but his initial requests are for Xavier Brennan, Ritter Novosad, Yuji Takeshi, *Finus Yamamato, *Alain Grace, *Persephone Dawn to join up.
- The Schuzstaffel fleet will consist of 2 x Jukon II, and 1 Gaw / Recon Gaw.
- The Schuzstaffel fleet will primarily undertake marine / amphibious assaults and raids.
- The remaining ZGMF PCs will form a combined air and ground fleet: Ando Shoji, Markos Steiner, Marko Dresner, Noelle Everett, Ota Naomi, Aldo P. Armistad, Duncan Keystone, Ernest Till, Rhett Paruta.
- The TAF / MAF fleet will consist of 2-3 Gaw, 1-2 Dobday, 1-2 Samsons.
- The TAF / MAF fleet will primarily undertake large-scale fleet and fortress assaults.



Week 9
- Week 9 is when (assuming everything is ready) we will begin our offensive operations once again.
- The Schuzstaffel fleet will move into the Atlantic and / or the Pacific, and engage the naval convoys there this week.
- The TAF / MAF fleet will punch into South America, and our plan right now is for this fleet to destroy both EFGF Supply Fleets.
- Once both fleets have accomplished their objectives, they will rendezvous in North America at the end of the week, to prepare a major push into the West Arctic en route to Europe.



Week 10
- MS and ship repairs might alter our time line by 1-2 days in either direction, but Week 10 is when (presumably) the two fleets will push through the West Arctic and defeat the zone in a series of decisive attacks, returning it to conflicted territory.
- Once New Amsterdam has been destroyed, both fleets will move to Europe.
- Our primary goal after landing in Europe is going to be besieging Belfast. The taking of this fortress is one of our key long-term objectives.



Philosophy
- The officers have recognized that joining fleets and basically sitting there for a few weeks might not be exactly ideal and fun for you all. However, this is mostly done to ensure that everybody makes it past the patrols guarding Enemy Territory (Pacific / Atlantic Oceans, South America, West Arctic, etc.). If you guys would like to do something else or have another idea that you think could work, please let us know.
- You will notice that I did not take the EFGF into account during these plans. There are a few reasons for this: namely, we are unsure about what they are trying to do. Their level of investment into New Amsterdam implies that they mean to turn West Arctic into a significantly-defended battleground zone, but it's almost certain that at least a few of them will break off and begin offensive operations elsewhere in the world. We have a hunch they might try for Hughendon, but that's unconfirmed. Therefore, since it's so hard to plan so far ahead for such variables, in this early draft of plans at least we will discard them and assume we can do more damage to them in two weeks than they can do to us? ^.^ Obviously once we have a bit more information we will start looking at contingency plans for defense if need be.
- We appreciate your RP donations very much, yet at the same time we realize that you guys probably would like an MS team of your own. The officers would like to start a thread entirely about desired MS teams at some point, to factor them into our purchasing plans / budgets. This is another subject we would like your opinion on: how important your personal MS team is to you. Kale suggested that we could all pool together RP and the officers could purchase MS for everybody before Belfast based upon what they wanted, and I agree with him that's probably the easiest way (logistically) to handle it.



So that should cover it for the most part. I probably missed something in my rush to complete it, but if Kale or Zero or Chris notice it I will happily edit this post.
