It was strange for Laredo to be found in this position, standing on the middle the bridge of the Lucifer's Fury essentially doing damage control. Apparently regardless of how small your role was during the war, when a Zeon Super Battleship gets captured most eyes move towards the nearest authority for guidance. Unfortunately for Veil, he was that figure and the current situation was well above his pay-grade.

"Anything from the Monarch?" Laredo asked his comms operator.

"No word, all channels are close, but I'll keep trying." replied the nervous female officer.

"Fantastic. Where the hell is Ensign Banks?" After the battle the Richard Banks, the other officer in charge of the ZEF space operations has been missing since the battle.

"You, find him now!" The SS pointed towards a random bridge crew member. It was Chief Petty Officer Gomez. He snapped a salute and ran off to find the missing officer."

"Unterscharfuhrer Veil! We have an incoming transmission!"

"Is it the Monarch?"

"No, its Oberscharfuhrer Ghettid." The news of the recent developments found its way all the way back to the large SS."

"Put him though." Veil knew what was coming, this was a time where he would have play the role. Time to get chewed out.

"How the FUCK did the FLAGSHIP of the ZEF get captured by EARTH FEDDIE SCUM?" Jun wasn't in the best of moods. It would only be a matter of time before word got to his own superiors and his family's reputation wouldn't not save him from a firing squad.

"A slight tactical oversight by Lt. Winyuan." That was the only response the Recon SS could think about that made the most sense.

"I don't care! The only thing that matters is the Monarch! I don't care if you sacrifice every man and woman in that fleet. I want that ship back or I'm holding you responsible Veil. This shouldn't had happen under your watch!

The Oberscharfuhrer was serious, Veil could see behind that threat Ghettid was scared that if he didn't resolve this current predicament then it would be both his head on the chopping block.

"Unterscharfuhrer Viel, sorry to interrupt!"

"Where is Banks?"

"I couldn't find him sir!"

"Damnit Veil, get some god damn order over there!"

Veil took a moment to think, he needed to clear his head. This wasn't why he was sent here. Catch a smuggler, come home, get a medal is what he kept thinking to himself. All this distractions keep him from doing what he wanted to do. Catch M21, the smug bastard or bastards. he still had no answer.

"That's too bad."

The next moment, Unterscharfuhrer Veil decided what he was going to do. He realized the only way to do his job he needed to get things done here. So he thought himself. What would Ghettid do?

Its been months since Laredo fired his luger, but he always considered himself a decent shot. So when a round from his Mauser C96 founds its way though poor Chief Petty Officer Gomez's right shoulder he was almost impressed that he managed not to kill him.

"Listen, you will go find Banks. If you you do not, then I will shoot again for incompetence! Trust me, the next round I fire will be in your heart! Are we clear?"

The SS presence in space was almost nonexistent until now. Gomez stood up wincing and tearing from the pain. He took his left arm and snapped a proper Zeon salute to the Unterscharfuhrer.

"Yes, abbb-abbsolutley clear!" The petty officer shuffled off to hopefully find the missing ship captain.

The rest of the crew looked in horror for only a moment. Veil shot the bridge crew a look before he shouted that they go back to work.

"Heh, there maybe hope for you yet kid. Get that ship back." Jun enjoyed watching a SS exercise their proper authority. Little did he know Laredo made sure his little act of "discipline" was in front on the his handler.

"Consider it done." The transmission ends. A look around the bridge Laredo sees everyone back hard at work. There was a mess to clean up and no time for nonsense.
