A really interesting rules snafu came up today that was pretty important. We talked about it in the chat but I'm going to post it here.
If a fleet has a disabled ship in it, can that fleet make blockade/patrol/siege actions?
This is not really thought out in the rules. The disabled rule says a disabled ship cannot make actions other than emergency repair actions, but it's not the ship making the action it's the fleet, and the fleet rule doesn't say that a fleet cannot make an action that one ship in the fleet cannot make.
There's all sorts of different ways and reasons why this would be relevant.
What we're going to go with as an interperetation is this:
If a fleet has a disabled ship in it, it cannot START to blockade/patrol/siege, but if it is already doing so it can continue doing it. Disabling one ship in a sieging fleet for one day does not break the entire siege, basically.

Sounds reasonable, I wouldn't raise a fuss if I died that way.

I agree, or else breaking a siege/blockade would be really easy. Plus, it makes no sense that they could blockade if the ship was FULLY blown up, but not if it was ALMOST blown up.
