Bryce slowly wandered aimlessly on top of his Hildolfr as his eyes were scanning the pages on the clipboard he held in his hands. "So, Ando Shoji, this is what you and the 9th Combined Operational Fleet has in store for me." He looked down at the mobile armor he stood upon and scanned it as well. "Looks like you and I won't be just another face here in Zeon." Bryce started across his mobile armor, heading to the platform resting just above the cockpit. "That's good news, I wouldn't want to have to go to the Feddies to see what price I can fetch for us, Hildolfr. I wouldn't make a good Federation soldier anyhow." He looked back at Hildolfr one more time with a smile, this one genuine unlike the smile he gave everyone else.
Bryce placed the clipboard under his arm and continued out of the hangar down the hall, once again looking at the reflection of the lights in the tile on the floor. He started to rethink his actions recently. Was joining Zeon the right thing to do? Is this how he is going to get to Gundam? Maybe it would have been better to join the Earth Federation to get back at Zeon for discrediting his work and at the same time get close to Gundam. Shaking his head, he focused on what was happening now. "No, Zeon was the right choice." Turning the corner he headed towards his quarters. Respecting the power Zeon showed Bryce back on Side 6 convinced him that it would have been trouble to sign up as a Federation recruit.
Upon reaching his quarters, he closed the door behind him and leaned his back up against the door. He just realized that that was the first time he has ever had second thoughts about his actions. "What's coming over me?" He sighed with a palm on his forehead. Shaking his head again, he proceeded over to his small desk and placed the clipboard down. Taking a seat, Bryce pulled out a small journal and a fountain pen. "One thing's for sure, though. If the Feddies have the right price, I might reconsider." He grinned and began writing in the journal. "We'll see though, I want to have some fun first."
Taking a break from writing in his journal, he looked up at the photographs thumb-tacked on the cork board hanging above his desk. Some of the pictures showed people he's met while on espionage outings. Those photos were just a cover-up though. They were there to take attention away from one photograph in question. Bryce smiled, in a brief glimpse of honest emotion, as he looked at the woman in the photograph. She had long hair with a rich purple color and eyes of green. She was posing very cutely donned in her Earth Federation uniform. Bryce started to day dream remembering the day that picture was taken.
It was back on Side 6, 0075. The Earth Federation still had their influence over Side 6 at that time. Bryce hardly liked anyone back home. The only person he ever spent all his time with was a girl he's known as long as he could remember. Her name was Arianna. She was the only person he could connect with and actually share his true emotions with, rather than the usual guise he gave everyone else. Eventually during their senior year in high school, he confessed. It's been two years since they've been together. They've both been working small local jobs to pay off the bills for their small home. Recently, however, Arianna decided she wanted more out of her life and enlisted with the Earth Federation. She had hoped she could stay in Side 6's area while making a little extra money to bring back home. That changed when the Federation had it arranged for her to be transferred out to Earth's Jaburo base. Saddened with the news that she was going to leave him, Bryce headed out to the space port to see Arianna off. Upon reaching the terminal, he easily picked her long purple hair out from the crowd of other recruits. She hurried over to see Bryce as they conversed for what he felt was the last time. That's when he took out his camera and snapped that photo of her.
Snapping out of the day dream, Bryce realized why he uncertain of choice with joining Zeon. Why he was thinking about joining with the Earth Federation. It was all in hopes of seeing her. He had been subconsciously fighting with himself over what he was to do next. He wanted to see her again. He wanted to know if she was still alive. Stopping short in writing in his journal, he closed it up and turned off the lights in his room as he retired for the night.
