Bryce looked up at the monitor from inside of the Hildolfr, making the final changes to the machine's OS to be in better sync with it's pilots input. He was confident in his abilities to pilot this machine after running it's simulation a multitude of times prior to today. However, he knew that it wouldn't be enough, but practice is better than nothing at all. Pressing the last few buttons for the sequence as everything shut down, Bryce picked up the bag he gathered from his quarters in the California Base and exited the cockpit, allowing the mechanics and engineers to make their final checks as they hooked up the mobile armor in tow with the Liger, a Gallop with the 9th Combined Operations Fleet.
Shouldering his bag to a more comfortable position, Bryce maneuvered around to get a better look at the fleet getting readied for departure. A lot of firepower. It's something to be proud of being a part of, really. Especially when you invested into part of this firepower. It wasn't much, but it was enough to gain some recognition and kick start Bryce's career as a Zeon soldier.
Walking back, he stopped before the Liger and took the moment to look at the vessel he would be taking residency with. An impressive piece of machinery, welcoming to anyone who had doubts of their own protection. Bryce, on the other hand, had no doubts for his own life was in his own hands. Sure he was now apart of a fleet, but who's to say they'll be watching out for a Private? Work as a team and watch your own hide.
Bryce smiled, closing his eyes as he entered the Liger and headed towards where his new bunk was located. Small, but who needs a large living space when all you have is clothes and pictures with you? Pictures... Repressing that one memory has come to haunt Bryce over the past couple of days. How could he have forgotten about her? Maybe the pain was too much for him? If that were true, though, that would mean he is weak. All Bryce knew was that he now had another goal. Find Arianna, or at least find out what has become of her. Now that he thinks about it, he never really got any messages from her after she departed from Side 6. There has got to be a reason for that. She wasn't dead, he knows this much to be true. Bryce opened up his wallet to be greeted with Arianna's smile.
"I won't allow that to be our last memory," he said to himself with a determined look. "I'll do whatever it takes to find out where you are. Zeon will be my bridge to you. Even the Federation will become a stepping stone. As of now, though, it's all a matter of time before I see you, Arianna." Bryce, looked over to the open door of his bunk and closed it to get some rest before he was needed again.
