There seems to be a lot of confusion as to the way services work. This mistake has been made a lot, including 3 times today.
Services can only be purchased by and for an individual PC. You cannot make purchases for a ship you own that is attacking something if you are not on that ship.
The only exception to this is buying balloon ships, which can be done like normal ships because the dummy balloon service is weirdo.
