This is probably going to be the last OYW. If it gets any bigger we are all going to die of mobile suit overdose.
But, just for fun, I am posting a shorthand list of what I would change. You guys can argue over it or something!
Rules
- Change MS team sizes, add half size MS teams in space
- Expand Zeon MA / Fed MS rule to reflect changed MS team sizes
- Explain boarding/disembarking a little better
- Explain battle types a little better, link to Tactical Advantages post
- Change Orbital Drop rule to auto-forfeit MS being towed via Zeon MA / Fed MS rule
- Add bonus for (S) class units that they can start a battle closer to an enemy position.
- Change Overwatch, not sure how yet
- Add some way to scout for hidden Rogues, possibly through a Detect action
- Change Paradrop rule to never cancel assaults
- Provide some incentive to Blockade over Patrol
Rogue Rules
- Remove rule where Rogues count all territory as Contested
- Change purchase rules such that Rogues cannot buy from Zeon shop in EF territory and cannot buy from EF shop in Zeon territory. Remove ability to buy Rogue ships in Contested on Earth. Allow Zeon ship purchases in Zeon territory and EF ship purchases in EF territory. Rogue ship purchases in 3rd party territory, friendly territory or special locations (see Tactical)
- Remove Blackouts entirely. They are stupid.
- Describe Sell action better
Joining
- Create joinable MS differences between shops 1 and 2
Shops in General
- Add M particle capability to ships. Slightly reduce cost of ships that do not have this capability.
- Add M particle field service to all shops. Slightly more expensive for Rogues.
- Describe Services better.
- Reduce prices of some Add-ons
Zeon Shop
- Remove Panzergrenadier, replace with a Ranger like unit
- Possibly add Sealance
- Possibly add Sodon
- Add non (R) version of Samson
- Change Papua hangar to 4x MS or 12x Aircraft, to make it on line with Columbus's 3-1 ratio
- Allow Jukons and Mad Anglers to Hide, make them more expensive
- Slightly increase hangar capacity of Gallop
- Change Gaw from Battleship to Carrier
- Add a naval support option, possibly MS support can be 3x Zaku II F or 3x Zaku Marine
Fed Shop
- Add Rangers
- Slightly increase aircraft capacity of Medea
Rogue Shop
- Possibly add Spies (Rogue detector infantry)
- Slightly increase carrying capacity of most Rogue ships to reflect MS teams in space
- Change name of Air & Water to something else
- Give Refugees a CP score if attacked
- Add trade on Earth. Food in North America/South Africa, Oil in North Africa, Water in South America. Sell in Jaburo or any Zeon spaceport, possibly more for selling at Odessa.
- Add "Hideout" ship. Immobile terrestrial base that acts like a ship in that it can attack things in its location even though it cannot move.
Map
- List North Africa as always Desert locale for patrols/environment bonuses
- List South America as always Tropical locale for patrols/environment bonuses
- List Arctics/Antarctics as always Arctic locale for patrols/environment bonuses
- Allow Rogues to buy Rogue ships in Europe, North America or any urban fortress regardless of their territory
Tactical
- Allow Rogues free transport to/from orbit at Baikonour
- Find a way to better balance differences between Zeon mines and EF supply fleets
Forum
- Find a way to better balance highest EXP without changing VP levels and without making the math involved extremely difficult
- Find a way to provide more incentive for Rogues to use Black Market board. Possibly use a scrambler and provide a key on EF/Zeon boards such that they can send a message to an individual Rogue. Unsure.
- Make it more difficult to evade patrols.
- Change weather to make it more real world accurate instead of just a lot of bullshit.
