I'm not really sure what we can plan here since we're the only two space officers, but we may as well get SOME kind of plan going.

Well, Zeon space has 5,462 RP (before the 200 RP we spend today). What this means is that we can buy a Gwazine and Chivvay II next week when we arrive in 401(K), total of 6,700 RP. We make about 2,500 RP a week.
The biggest factor is how much damage we took today and what the EFSF fleet in Side 5 did. If it stayed in Side 5, that's great. Most likely though, it moved along with the the EF PCs at +1DE into +2DE.
Which means, we're into a nasty fight tomorrow night. I need you Frenzy to go on Overwatch tomorrow while I move the fleet into Dren Fleet. We probably need either two missile services, or a missile sevice and a MS Support Service tomorrow.
At worst case, everyone who's repairing hops off towards +3DE while we fill the MS Slots with Zaku II HMTs. We can then use the MS to stock the Gwazine and Chivvay II later on. I hope I make it out of +2DE alive when I spawn.
At the very least, Dren Fleet will move to block Ohm Fleet.

Okay, so most of our predictions are true but the worst part is that the Chivvay II is Disabled.
Hopefully we can shuffle the two combat ships of the ZEF to Dren Fleet while leaving Dummy Balloons in their place. Then my Musai can join you guys while moving to +3DE.
Then next week we get a Gwazine and Chivvay II.

That went about as well as can be expected, and we got some promotions, which means more spending cash. Doubly so since we have some RP credits.
But yeah. We need to make sure what we have survives and then get them fixed up for taking on whatever gets sent our way, especially Damocles. Do you have a concrete plan for taking them on once we do butt heads with them?

We cannot fight as we are and part of our short term goals is to get back to 401K for repairs and more ships.
To note, Jim has been advocating that we need to prevent Damocles/Cygnus Fleet to destroy Dren Fleet. He believes we will then fall into a vicious cycle of always returning to mess with Ohm Fleet then having to face the EFSF with damaged units.
He's on his way to +3DE today to do stuff with Cid but he also wants to move into a Side or L4 to buy Musais.
I rather get a Gwazine (give it to Laredo so he'll put Panzergrenadiers on it) and get a Chivvay II.

Sooner or later we'll be able to tackle Ohm directly.
But once we get fixed up, we should focus on neutering the EFSF's PC fleets and then go about taking out the NPC fleets. But Jim does have a point. We just need to eliminate the threat by any means.

The main power of the EFSF fleet is, for the time being, our Gwazine. We got rid of their Pegasus II which is great. We can also be fairly confident that Latooni will carry on with his balloon fetish so that's a buttload of money the EFSF is wasting on easy targets (as seen by last Wednesday's event).
I'm curious about the chunk of Publics that they have. They pretty much brought 3 of those in exchange for a Salamis. There has to be some intention there since those are ship killers.

I don't want to bank on Latooni always relying on balloons, though. We could make a mistake if he wises up and only gets a few at a time or something.

The nice thing about Latooni and his balloons is that buys them in excess. It is very easy to look at a fleet and go, "yeah, he doesn't have the money for that."

All I'm saying is that we shouldn't count on him keeping with one tactic. If he's taking this game seriously, he might start using tactics more involved than "balloon spam", especially once money runs low.

Okay, so I respawned. YAY.
The good news: I kept my logistics specialization. I'm not sure why but I think because I won it in a Profile Contest instead of winning it as a commendation for RPing. In either case, I am grateful..
The bad news: According to Ket, I am only allowed to use the logistics specialization when attacking. We can somewhat blame Jojo for this because he was constantly having a Flight Support Service follow him around when he moved. Note, I'm said "attacking" and not "attacked".
We also have a large crapload of Resource Points. But the problem is, we can't do our normal thing of returning to 401(K) and returning to the frontline with reinforcements.
We need to hold out enough at +2DE to the point that the EFSF needs to return to a compound for repairs.
In the meanwhile, I want to start buying ships at 401(K) and send them over to +2DE. On my spreadsheet, we can buy a Papua (hahaha, don't we wish we had these already?), a Musai Final Type, and a Gwazine. This should balance our firepower against the EFSF somewhat.
The way I see it, everyone send me their RP then I can buy the Musai (while refitting it to a Final Type) and the Papua at 401(K). Then next Monday I can move them into L3 while everyone gives me their RP again, except for Laredo who will hold onto 84 RP.
Then on Tuesday, I'll buy a Gwazine, form it with the Musai Final Type and Papua into a new Fleet, and... give ownership of the Gwazine over to Laredo Veil.
He will then use his 84 RP to buy a Panzergrenadier for the Gwazine over the same of 3 days which is about how long it would take for the fleet to get to +2DE. Then on the following Monday, it arrives at +2DE.
I then buy 19x Zaku II HMT for the Gwazine, Laredo buys 6x Zaku II HMT for the Musai Final Type, and Frenzy buys 4x Zaku II HMT for the Papua.
So what we need to do is survive on minimal RP for one week >_>

After some thinking, we may have to exchange the Gwazine for more flexibility. Namely instead of a Musai, Papua, Jicco, and Gwazine let's have a Musai, Papua, Chivvay II, Zanzibar II, and a Jicco.
This gives us 6 combat ships and one repair ship (Tivvay, Chivvay II, Chivvay II, Zanzibar II, Musai, Musai, and Papua) vs. 1 fortress ship, 5 combat ships, and one transport (Gwazine, Salamis Revised, Salamis Kai, Salamis, Salamis, Salamis, and Columbus).
The key behind the Gwazine is that it must present its broadside before attacking. If we can keep our ships at the fore and aft of the Gwazine, we can force it to having to constantly turn itself around while we blast away the much weaker Salamis-class ships.
I think flexibility will have to be our focus. Getting a Gwazine again is now a luxury item.
