I REALLY like Aleksei's idea atm. Thank you I'm glad I thought of it. (Kidding) Anyway troop allocation ideas! 87 Intergraded Lleu Llaw Gyffes Hillock Hillock PCs: Jarvis Ackart, Bigby Wolfe, Hirsch Munchek 77th Brigade Gofannon Big Sioux Mississippi PCs: Cray Vermillion, Edmund Blackadder, Jack Murphy, Jay Tessa, Jim Irwin, Seth Yamanu, Arianna Elvy Saoirse, Thorvald Siggurdson I expect us to get 4336 RP from: Aurem Senaiha (100), Jay Tessa (600), Seth Yamanu (760), Jarvis Ackart (1545), Nigel Ferdinand (1331). In the worst case since these guys are the most active. So Aleksei is a man who knows what he wants so that leaves us with 2240 (4336 - (1826 + 270)). 1826 for Aleksei's stuff and 270 for a new Medea for Jojo. We have about 20 vehicle slots and 4 MS slots open in the 77th on our Big Trays (correct me if I'm wrong) so what do we fill them with? Plus 6 more support vehicles and 3 support MS slots. 10 x Depp Rog = 360 Plus what? 4 x Don Escargot = 144 (They have subs and aquatic units) 2 x Type 71 = 72 (These would be nice) 1 x Dish = 36 (One more, so each tray has one) 3 x JCB = 90 6 x Tin Cod = 54 7 x GM = 945 Total: 1701 RP Looks like we got enough if everyone pitches in! Tell me what you think.

Just my 2 cents, but I think if we try to split the fleet again we aren't going to accomplish either of our goals. It really didn't work very well last time we tried it either. Jojo's fleet ended up getting destroyed in North Africa, and Kyle's fleet failed a siege. I personally think we should wait to sandwich them between our base in Australia and our fleet. It would give us the best chance we've got of keeping both the fleet and the base.
As for Vladivostok or Archangelisk being an eye for an eye, that's pretty far from true. Both of our targets are fortifications. What happens if they fall? Pretty much nothing. What happens if Torrington falls? In addition to giving them control of Australia, there's also a nuclear weapons storage there. I don't know how much that means, but it doesn't sound like the kind of thing I want them to have control over.
Finally, I'm happy to see that Advocate's purchase proposition includes several GM's. One thing I've consistently noticed, but never really thought to mention earlier is that we seem to be constantly outnumbered by enemy MS. Why? Alot the Zeon PC's have MS teams. We don't. Aircraft are great, but we really seem to be hurting for MS. GM's aren't really that expensive for MS. We should consider filling out MS teams and have PC's arrive with the fleet, but not as part of the fleet to events. We'd bring a lot more force to bear on them without having to deal with pesky hangar space.
And finally, rather than saying that our officer's are doing a crap job and should be replaced, we should be supporting them. They've put in a lot of effort to see mostly failures so far. That's pretty demoralizing. It should be our job to pick up the slack and help get them back on their feet. If Ketara feels you're pulling your weight more than the officers, you'll eventually be promoted to one. Until then, suck it up and quit whining about who is and isn't an officer.

I agree that we should focus on Australia. However, I am concerned that by focusing exclusively on Australia, we will draw tons of Zeon PCs into the area. If I were to receive all the RP I need tonight, I can potentially disable their fleet on Thursday or Monday before any reinforcements arrive.
On another note, yes, our officers (i.e. Jojo) put a lot of effort in our plans and he should be commended. However, what I am asking for is nothing more than courtesy. For example, "Hey, gonna be away this week. Won't be able to post much, probably nothing, bye!" It's really that simple. That way we are not left wondering if our officers are going to post battle plans at the last minute or if we can count on their financial participation. If our officers can't do this, then they probably shouldn't be officers at all. Inactivity from both officers and non-officers will surely give the Zeeks the upperhand in every engagement.

My propositions have always included MS: oywrpg4.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=effgeneral&action=display&thread=1653 and I've advocated that we have MS teams for a while now. Anyway good points Atra but I think this situation is very different from the beginning of the game. For one Aleksei is defending and has the support of powerful NPCs. With that fleet I don't think the SS can beat him (though I'm a little worried I didn't allocate enough PCs to fight on the ground.)

However, what I am asking for is nothing more than courtesy. Certainly it would be nice if they did so, but we'd never actually asked them to do that before, had we? Rather than just tearing them down and whining that we need new leaders, we should ask they let us know when real life may cause problems with their attendance. I actually had a couple ideas to help with general planning and personnel management while I was bored sitting discussing SAM tactics at work again. I'll toss the threads up in a second and see if they work out.

I think that goes without saying, especially when you sign on for the job. But you're right, I suppose.
Edit: Your two threads are great, thanks.
