Alright if you look at the space map you will notice that the zeeks have purchased a base at 2e. Given the situation the zeeks are in I think they relised they are fucked and they have limited options and our going for something crazy. I think the base is a distraction to keep us from kicking their collective space nazi asses.
I believe the zeeks are banking on us seeing this base and possibly forming both of out fleets up in to one fleet and attack the base so they can slip out of 2e and back to 3e territory so they can protect the mines or they could make a run for Texas Colony.
Plan of action- We take the Damocles Fleet and attack the 2e base. We have no clue if the ZEF are serious about holding this base or if it they intend for this to be a distraction to get them out of 2e. In any case the Damocles has enough firepower to take on whatever they throw at us if they do intend to truely keep it.
Meanwhile to cover our asses we could take the Cygnus and have it blockade 2e to keep the ZEF from leaving if that is their intention to distract us so they could leave. If they leave they run in to Cygnus thus the Cygnus could inflict more pain and punishment on the ZEF.
Opinions?

I think you guys should just press your attack on the mines. This is your best opportunity to do so.
Laredo Veil, who owns their space fortress, has 2700 RP so you'd face quite a bit of resistance if you tryed to attack it.
The mines are wide open, kill them.

I believe we can do both, Feyd - if we let Cygnus make a run for the mines right now. Some of the publics in Damocles is real, so it should be able to survive some resistance. What I most fear they'll use for the base is for easy ship purchases, kinda like what we're doing with Texas.
So, we'll use this attack as a lure. Any forces that want to attack Damocles, we'll be ready for them. Our ships will be on the lookout for incoming ships, and will target any ships at the base first. We'll stick with the "one MPC turret at a time" strategy we used last battle to get around the effects of anti-beam rockets. To improve our chances, I will captain the Gwazine instead of pilot my still-damaged GM Juggler.
Above all, if we kill Laredo Veil right now, that's 2700 RP he can't fucking transfer to anyone else while he is dead.

Lol Is that quote in your sig from Frenzy? Yes. Yes it is. Even Zeonites think he's silly.

I was on Frenzy's side last run.
He can be quite... emotional.

I still think you shoudl press your advantage against the mines.
That fortress can't really do anything to 2de and once zeon loses the mines you will out RP gain them.

I'm down for the mines too. Get them where it hurts, their wallets. Question though, what are the chances they can drop this base on earth? I was on Frenzy's side last run. He can be quite... emotional. I'm on his side in FI <.< >.> His heart is in the right place?
