Pity he's dead. We could've kept him out of the game far longer if we'd had him locked up.
Oh well. At least this will keep him out of our way for a short while. We should try and make the most of this time by finishing off the fleets they have and keeping our mining operation safe.

Not that I've been terribly involved here recently except through Chan, but i figure today is a decent day to make a comeback appearance. My question in this regard, is do we still have the GM juggler that we can now have a new player/someone wanting to change use? Or was it considered scrapped with the pilot?

It got sliced in two. And blown up. I don't think we can use it.

On the one hand, we lost two mines, but on the other hand, we've pretty much proven that attacking those mines with Asteroid Clusters means that they WILL take at least a few hits, and with no repair-capable units behind our defensive line, they can't afford to keep the pace up for too long without seeing their ships ground into dust.
After we get paid this weekend, I might add some of those defense platforms or space mines to my Overlords to give them an extra sting.

ruins cost very little to rebuild, on top of all that.
Juggles was a prototype unit - only one exists. Once it's gone, it's gone.

I'd like to reccomend that everyone buys minefields for as many Overlords as you can afford after this weekend's paycheck. They're cheap, and should be good for keeping the enemy's ships from bum rushing the Overlords or at least slow them down, making it easier for the Asteroid Clusters to do their work.
Might also take out a few Saberfish or Balls in the process. Even if we can't stop them from destroying our mines, we can damn well make it very, VERY painful for them to do so. Ultimately, they'll need to make a choice of continuing and suffering more damage and losses at the face of our defenses, leaving and fighting Dozle on the way out (though I wouldn't put it past them to sacrifice a ship or a player to do so) or spending money to escape somehow.

I'm going to do this today just in case they attack the Musai. But we have to be open to the possibility that they will meet up with the Columbus II in +1DE or move to either +3DE or Side 5.
