Alright folks, the update's not up but here's the story.
I know there are mixed feelings about the fate of Laredo Veil and his base "Purgatorio". but this is one of the outcomes we expected.
When we built the base, we wanted to force Latooni to make choices.
If he attacked Dren Fleet with us on it, the base would have grown stronger next week.
If he attacked Purgatorio, he'll have to take damage and will be vulnerable to our PCs attacking him on a second day.
Finally, the real reason behind the base is to hold off the EFSF so our two fleets can survive long enough to jump on to ZMF Resupply Fleet on Monday. We spent 3,300 RP to preserve our ships and damage the enemy.
If we were to attack the Damocles Fleet headon, we would have wasted 3,300 RP in assets anyway. But now we have the advantage of being undamaged when they are repairing.
The Gwazine got hit with three Asteroid Rockets in the event. The publics didn't make an appearance so I think they were the balloons and Latooni spent money on GMs. Not too sure though until the update goes up.
We also destroyed the Capella for sure. Which means the Gwazine is much less defended than before. All of the EFSF PCs are also repairing.
Depending on what's in Damocles (if the fleet still exist) and where Cygnus Fleet is, we are in position for a retaliatory strike.
Speaking about Cygnus Fleet, it wasn't in the attack which meant something.
The Schnee Weiss, Val Varo, Prototype Gelgoog, and Myberg's Rick Dom will be ready for an attack on Monday.
The Azrael definitely needs to go on the ZMF Resupply Fleet. I'm not sure what to do with the Lucifer's Fury.
Arcaille is also going to respawn with a promotion, new NT roll, and most likely as the Zaku Kai. We need to match our operations to when he respawn at +2DE.
Stay tuned.
