The Zaku II Kai fired its machinegun wildly at a group of balls as they attempted to find cover away from the battlefield.
"Die Federation dogs!" The pilot shouted in a blind rage as machinegun bullets shredded some of the mobile pods to pieces. Nearby the Zaku II Kai a GM fired its 90mm machinegun at a nearby Zaku II as it strafed by while trying to return fire. This was the first time this pilot had been involved in a firefight outside of a training facility. The GM aimed carefully and fired a three round burst into the chest of the enemy Zaku II. A fiery explosion soon followed as a stream of machinegun fire ripped past the Zaku II Kai.
"More of you Federation dogs!?" The SS pilot looked on in confusion for a moment but quickly regain his composure as he retreated back to a disabled Bigro mobile armor. "Can you hear me? Its Wolfgang?" Simon blurted out as his Zaku II Kai turned over in mid flight and fired his grenade launcher at a GM. A stream of machinegun tracers streaked past him as the high-explosive round impacted the torso of the firing Shrapnel Shrapenal flung in all directions as a couple of balls fired at the Zaku II Kai. The SS officer cursed. He had never faced this sort of onslaught before from the Federation.
"Sir!" A shout could be heard from the comm link. The m particle cloud seemed to have been dying down. The SS mobile suit turned and jetted off toward the damaged Bigro. The ball units fired at the black Zaku as it speeded along zipping in and out around a field of debris.
"This Zaku II is fast as shit!" One of the ball pilots said in anger as he continued firing his recoilless gun at the Zaku to no avail. The Zaku II Kai easily dodge the shots from the inexperienced pilot. The black Zaku II placed its hand against the side of the Bigro as it took cover behind its thick armored body.
"They came out of no where sir! Those Salamis's dinged me up badly." The SS pilot begin spitting up blood as more machinegun fire begin hitting the thick armor of the massive unit. Simon peaked around the massive body of the Bigro and fired a machinegun burst to break up a nearby formation of Saberfish. One fighter spun wildly out of control and smacked into another creating a large explosion Simon gritted his teeth knowing he barely made a dent in the opposing force.
"I knew my actions would draw the attention of the Federation at some point, but I never figured I'd get this kind of response." The SS officer's thoughts raced wildly as his Zaku fired a panzer faust and watched it explode nearby a GM only peppering with stray bits of shrapnel The GM shuttered as it regained its balance it mid flight just as a fury of machinegun fire was unleashed upon its location. The GM quickly ducked and weaved its way out of the line of fire while shooting back at a group of Zaku IIs arriving on the scene to rescue the embattled SS team.
"Sir we have come to relieve you." One of the Zaku II pilots announced as he fired a machinegun burst. The sounds of bullets bouncing off and some piercing through the armor of the Bigro only added to the confusion of the battlefield. In the distance away from the Bigro, a Zaku II raced toward the mangled wreck in hopes of finding protection. Its pilot cried out.
"Cover me!" The Zaku II rushed forward with its thrusters at full blaze as a machinegun bullet from a GM found its mark hitting the cockpit of the Zaku II and ending the life of the desperate pilot. The lifeless Zaku II speeded uncontrollably in to another Zaku that was trying to fall back to the Bigro. The upperbody of the Zaku caved in as the other smashed into it. A small fire ignited and then both suits erupted into a giant fireball. Simon looked on in frustration as his men were being hunted like helpless rabbits. He had gone through too much with these men to just let them die without him doing something. The hand of His Zaku II Kai gripped the warped hull of the Bigro to establish communication.
"Does your particle cannon work?" Simon shouted over the sound of machinegun fire in the background. The mobile armor pilot took deep breaths as he tried to maintain consciousness "Does the damn cannon work!" The SS officer repeated once more.
"Their is no serious damage to it sir. It...is in working order." The Bigro pilot struggled to stay awake.

On the bridge of the Salamis class Orc, Patrick Foley stared at the battlefield with a blank expression. His eyes stayed fixated on the flashes of light and machinegun tracers stringing across the black background of space. This was something he was accustomed to. War was nothing new to him.
"Does the name Simon Wolfgang ring any bells to you? Admiral Heiman asked. Patrick stared at the Admiral's face while he tried to process his thoughts.
"It does sir. It's a name I haven't heard in a while." Patrick stood at attention, He was partially stunned that an old aquientice was mentioned. Jamitov smiled knowing he had brought up one of Patrick's old demons.
"Your predecessor, Cato Goloni had caused quite a scare for Zeon's logistical support for its fleets at the front lines before his death." The Admiral sipped the whine from his glass slowly so he could savor the taste.
"So I heard." Patrick responded. Jamitov placed his whine glass back down on a coaster as he licked his lips trying to get any lingering whine that was left.
"Zeon's response to Goloni's operation was very swift. They unleashed their own seek and destroy teams against Federation supply lines to its frontline forces."
"An of all people it is Wolfgang that was appointed to carry out the operation." Patrick sighed. He knew Wolfgang from his brief encounter with him after the One Week Battle. His first impressions was that he was more of propagandist rather than a soldier, he would later prove Patrick wrong at Lourm.
"Lieutenant Foley, what I ask of you is not easy, but it must be done. You have faced this Wolfgang in combat when you helped General Revil escape. You know him better than anyone else." The Admiral pulled a small folder from under his desk and handed it to Patrick "His last whereabouts will be in this document and the likely routes he will attack next." Patrick reluctantly grabbed a hold of the folder.
Lately he had only bad memories while in space from his time spent in service to the Zabi regime. Now it appeared another one of his bad memories was going to come to life before his own eyes.
