So in a first of RPG history I think I lived while my group died. This drops my fighting CP down 84%, from 120 CP (level 6) to 20 CP (Level 1).
Buying a level 5 group (100 CP) would cost 500 RP (Two weeks if I just withheld RP from Zeon)
I could just wait it out since death is possible and likely at Odessa anyways and re-roll then into a mobile suit.
As a side note, my first rise to level 5 started with me at level 3 since I purchased the squad on my joining Application and it took about a month of a half to reach level 5.
I wanted to get some opinions on this before I decide what to do with the rag doll. I'm seriously starting to doubt the effectivness of an elite infantry group. They took half of what I'd spend on any level upgrade and throw it at me in Gurillas, I'll die.

The way you describe it, it might be better to die and go Mobile Suit.

No offense, but PC infantry just hasn't worked out well for us. Aside from the incredibly brief ownership of that Big Tray, what did your squad of Panzers do?
Too bad you didn't have rail guns.... ;p

I don't think you should AIM to die, but rather try to live even if your effectiveness has shot down. I mean, you've RP'd your character out, and he's an interesting lad, so why would you go about and take something like that out?
Remember, Odessa is the event where underestimated units really shine. Just remember to back up your PzG's with marines, since marines are cheap and nice to have. So I think you should definitely try to stay alive and buy maybe level 4 or 3 PzG's for your character.

I just don't think you can gauge Zeon infantry effectiveness just because you're getting the short stick on rogue relations. It is pretty crummy that there aren't any rogues fighting for y'all, but that doesn't eliminate the usefulness of infantry units as a whole. If anything, a lack of good ol' ground pounders would make things much, much worse.
