Hey folks!
I hit a few patches of being burned out / sick / moody the past couple weeks, but I'm more or less back to normal now and excited to be back.
As per the norm, following the individual requests I'll try to give a bit of insight as to the officers' reasoning and thought process:
Everyone
- Please send any spare RP you have to myself (Ando Shoji), Chris (Xaviar Brennan), or Draco (Rhett Paruta). These funds will be critical in the purchases of NPC units, ships, and support options during Operation Odessa in the next few weeks.
- Please feel free to purchase any units for your MS team at any time if you are on-board one of our ships or fleets, we just ask that you check to make sure there are open spaces available.
- If you are participating in the Siege of Malta (should be most of you guys), please state in an e-mail that you wish to follow the base plan outlined by Draco (Rhett Paruta), and then request specific, individualized strategies you would like to follow as well as any Optional Armaments esired.
Alain Grace
- Move to Europe.
Alec Irusk
- Chill out on G-Force.
- Purchase units for G-Force Fleet Support. *
Ando Shoji
- Chill out on Fighting Mongooses.
Bryce Hollerfelt
- Move to Malta OR embark on fleet G-Force.
David Anderson
- Chill out on Fighting Mongooses.
Duncan Keystone
- Chill out on Fighting Mongooses.
Marko Dresner
- Chill out on Fighting Mongooses.
- Purchase units for Fighting Mongooses ships and Fleet Support.*
Noelle Everette
- Continue moving to G-Force / Fighting Mongooses / Malta.
Ota Naomi
- Chill out on G-Force.
- Purchase units for G-Force Fleet Support. *
Rhett Paruta
- Perform Orbital Drop on Malta along with Shooting Star.
- Provide plan for ground-based half of Siege engagement.
- Provide plan for said Paruta Maneuver (Orbital Drop half of engagement).
Ferusha Glavadeen
- Move to Malta.
Persephone Dawn
- Move to Europe.
Yuji Takeshi
- Chill out on Shooting Star.
Notes
- To begin with, the * I put next to some of you guys is just a reminder to be careful with your purchases to ensure everybody has space to buy stuff if they like. I'm going to be at work most of the day tomorrow, but I'll try to get up a post detailing what we have so far for the fleets (that will be recombined tomorrow, for all intents and purposes).
- Basically, originally what we wanted to do (at least some of us did, the past few days) with G-Force was counter the 87th and initiate a large-scale PC battle inside Friendly Territory. Unfortunately, we found ourselves out of position and (as expected) their fleet fled back to the Atlantic yesterday and it was pointless to pursue them. At that point, we had already been talking about the possibility of hitting Malta for other reasons (Odessa preparation, softening up Europe, etc.), and it became apparent that Malta might also serve for the useful purpose of coaxing the EFGF out of hiding. Whether or not that will happen remains to be seen, but although our current forces are probably too weak to assail the ramparts of Belfast, they should be more than enough to offer us a reasonable chance at victory here.
- Getting tired fast, but I think that's the gist of it. Over the weekend you can probably look forward to some good Odessa-based discussion, hopefully together we can come up with some ideas that will allow us to overcome this giant example of plot armor. ^.^
