After the Battle Code name: Hornets Nest...
Sgt. Scott Archer was sitting in the cockpit of his Core Booster which had more dents, scorched paint marks, and some exposed wires here and there. He replays his part in that battle and his distraction. It was coming close to the day that he and his elder brother fought to the death, on that fateful day in village in South America. There are just somethings you can not forget about no matter how deep you bury it. Killing your own brother just so happens to be one of those things. That thought ran through his mind and into his private journal.
Scott did not want to think back to that time. It was filled with many painful memories. One would think that it was either him killing his brother or seeing the woman that sheltered him in all those years ago. It was more actually both of those things combined that gives Scott Archer pause and distraction to whats going on around him. Seeing her up on that wall in the most sickening way imaginable and killing his flesh and blood brother with his bare hands is something that he can and will not forget.
Scott shakes his head trying to shake off those memories, but thats when he gets his new orders forwarded to him. He is to report to the Azores Base in the Atlantic Ocean for repairs and resupply. To Scott that name sounded familiar, so he flips through the record file of the deceased Jack Verse and sees that he himself was stationed there for a while. Scott ,finding the time to read more into it , sees that his visit was not the best one for him.
As Scott read more into it the soldiers stationed there did not give him a warm welcome. It's true that Jack was too nice for his own good but he was more in tough with his feelings than a solider should be. Scott had no problem with the way Jack choose to live his life but it was clear he was not suited for combat. At the very least Scott respected him because of the fact that he entered the war and was willing to spill his own blood. Scott has no problem fighting with those who have spilt blood on the battlegrounds but he gets the feeling that these stationed soldiers never seen combat. It will be interesting to see how it plays out.
Scott puts the file away and sets course for the base.
