Patrick dragged the Zeon pilot outside just to the edge of the Salamis. The enemy pilot pleaded with the Federation officer as he was dragged along. The pilot grabbed on to anything to avoid being dragged outside.
"Please don't do this!" The Zeon pilot begged for mercy. Patrick growled in frustration as he turned back and kicked the pilot in the back of his leg. The Zeon pilot dropped down to one knee and cringed in pain. Patrick than followed up with a strait kick to the side of the pilot's knee. A loud snap broke the back and forth struggle between the two men. The Zeon pilot cried out in a terrible pain as he looked down at his broken leg.
"Be a good lad now mate and die with some dignity." Patrick grabbed the back of the pilot's space suit and dragged him as he kicked and screamed in pain. He was not use to losing or having a plan go badly. He was confident the day earlier before the battle that he would find success in his mission to kill the enemy newtype pilot that had wandered into 2e frontlines. In the engagement the newtype brought along with her a team of Zaku II's that aided her in combat against the Duke and Patrick in combat. Only one of the Zaku II pilots survived the engagement that cost Patrick success in his mission.
"Give him hell lieutenant!" one member of an infantry team cheered on the angry Patrick Foley. For at least a day Patrick had interrogated the Zeon pilot with no information that proved of any value to him or to high command. Laughter followed Patrick as he dragged the stubborn Zeon pilot along. The infantry platoon followed along like a pack of cackling hyenas as Patrick went to go carry out the deed he thought was necessary to do.
"Come on man! I told you everything I knew!" The Zeon pilot now sobbed as Patrick lifted the Zeon prisoner up off of the ground in the zero g environment The black environment of space surrounded the area. Patrick pointed the man's face back toward 2e. In the distance the wrecks of battleships of both Federation and Zeon origin drifted along.
"When this vessel was all the way back there you had your chance to tell me everything I wanted to know." Patrick said in a cold voice as he clicked off the safety of his M9 pistol. He quickly jerked the Zeon pilot around and pointed the Berretta at the forehead of the pilot through his visor. His eyes crossed as he screamed one last time. The muzzle flash lit up the area and drowned out the face of the Zeon pilot just a split second before the bullet entered his head.
"Damn!" One member of the infantry unit smiled. Patrick looked at the face of the Zeon pilot. His face frozen with horror right at the exact moment the 9mm parabellum bullet was lodged in his brain. His body felt limp to Patrick as he let go of the dead corpse and allowed it to drift back in the direction of 2e space. For a few moments he looked on as the lifeless corpse continued on its journey. It reminded him of the time he spent while in Zeon while fighting at Lourm. He had seen many dead bodies floating along in space in various conditions. The main problem for Patrick was he could never tell whose side either of the corpses belong to.
"Lieutenant Foley. We just got a transmission from the Delphinus. They are dispatching a GM to intercept the escaped Zeon prisoner. The captain of the Andromeda's voice came in over the radio headset of Patrick's space helmet. The Federation officer placed a hand over the side of his helmet.
"Tell them don't bother. He's dead." Patrick responded
"Roger that." Patrick continued staring at the dead pilot as blood now floated along out the bullet hole left by the gunshot.
"You think we should bother recovering the body sir?" One of the soldiers stepped forward and saluted. Patrick turned and floated past the soldiers.
"Don't bother. I'd like to think that Zeon bitch we missed the other day will find that poor bastard dead." Patrick holstered his M9 and continued on his way back inside of the Andromeda.
