We find ourselves besieged by a strong enemy force, and it appears that more may be on the way. While we cannot purchase any more MS or ships while we are under siege, we do have access to services. Against the fleets besieging Constantinople, we are going to see a lot of flight support on their end.
Now, some of our positives: We are a strong group of MS operatives with a member of The Schutzstaffel with us. Plus, we have a fair amount of pull with resources, and the decision by The High Command to allow us to shore up the defenses gives us an even better standing.
And with the arrival of the Deutschland, we have strong support from TAF High Command, as well. So, let us get down to brass tacks.
RP at Constantinople (as of Weekend Update): Ritter Novosad - 225 RP Persephone Dawn - 250 RP Ferusha Glavadeen - 350 RP Duncan Keystone - 350 RP David Anderson - 200 RP Alec Irusk - 225 RP
Total - 1600 RP
Here is the plan. All RP is to be transferred to me. On Monday, I will purchase 1x Artillery Support and 1x Flight Support (Dopps). The Artillery support will aid our bombardment of the enemy forces. As a unit, we will Hole Up. With the cannons they are going to bring to bear, we should be able to protect ourselves for the first day. All of our (A) units should be able to hit them still, as well.
RP after Monday: 1400 RP
Tuesday: I will purchase 1x Trenches (400 RP) and 2x Minefield (one land, and one sea) (600 RP) to help our defenses. If the Fortification worked, and they did not hurt us too badly, I propose we Sally Forth. Services purchased: 1x Artillery Support and 1x Flight Support (Dopps).
RP after Tuesday: 200 RP
At that point, we will have to see where we're sitting. We'll decide what to do on Weds after the Tuesday update, but hopefully, we'll have been able to either break the siege, or destroy the Sir Francis Drake.
If you have any questions or thoughts about this strategy, please feel free to e-mail me.
Sieg Zeon,
Irusk.
Well, I went ahead and posted this here, since it should be on the boards. My bad.
Braddigan made a good point to me. They do have some massive firepower. Day one, we should hole up instead.
The reason why I'm picking up the minefields is orders from the High Command. I figure that having them, we'd know where they are, and they don't. We could lure their MS into traps to destroy them.
What arguments are there against the minefields?

Have minefields been effective at downing enemy units in the past? I haven't paid attention to this but they would have to take out a quite a few units to make the 600 RP price tag nice. For that much you could field another Jukon inside the harbor at Odessa to make use of it's 10 bombardment range stat.

The problem is, we can't buy a ship while being sieged, can we? If we can, screw it, we'll pick up a nice Jukon, stick you on it, and start sinking Charlie with it.

VashHino, on Monday, if you could purchase the Ocean-Minefield for Constantinople, you'll be able to afford it out right. We need to be able to support the Constantinople marine-based defenses as much as possible, in order to sink those carriers!
And re-looking at Task Force Alpha, the majority of their units are either airborne or on an air cushion, so they won't be that effective.
The rest, Transfer RP as originally stated, so that on Tuesday, we can pick up some Trenches, and see what we need to do from there.

I checked today with Ketara to see if we could have people cover partial costs on the Trenches. We can't, unfortunately, and we can only buy those add-ons on Monday, according to the post copied from the Officer's Forums. So. Ryocha, if you could join VashHino in purchasing mines on Monday, that would be great, since you can also afford them. VashHino - Seamines to protect from Task Force Charlie and help support the marine based defenses of Constantinople. Ryocha - Landmines. Yes, the Big Tray and other Land battleships might not be hindered by them, but the MS and Marines on board will be. The rest of the RP: We'll be able to purchase four days worth of Services, which is one game week, so that will be a huge boon. I know it's a lot to ask you guys to combine your RP into mine, so that one person can send in the service purchase e-mail every update, but I think it would make it easier, and really allow us to break the enemy fleets. If you have any opposition to the plan, please voice your opinions, G-Force/Constantinople Team. Let's hear your ideas!

Just an FYI, I have also struck a deal with Zepp to infiltrate the Feddie Fleet when he is fully healed. If he can, his mission priority is to kill Bryce Hollerfelt and commit sabotage within the fleet.
I'm taking the responsibility of paying him, since while we are under siege, we can't pick up any units for him.

I thought about using two infantry flight supports one day of the battle and trying to have those 100 men attack the big tray while I would slide into the Brig and kill him but 1) theres too much federal armaments. 2) Theres too many high level marines on board 3) I am injured.
To put it in perspective we discussed Hans Bond going on board to terrorist plant on the flagship, and Hans Bond has more CP than me or my troops at the moment since he had 130 CP. It was designated he wouldn't be able to get on board either because the guys he would be going up against would be as said:
[15:58] <Ketara> So really it's 36 85 CP guys, 12 59 CP guys, and 12 41 CP guys.
The highest man in terms of CP can not sneak on the ship~ This is bad mojo if you send a rogue to try.

And I specifically told him I would pay for a succesful infiltration. If he fails, I wouldn't. And even then, I can support the cost. Just two weeks of my pay. I told him to wait till he's healed, as well, so if we break the siege before then: no skin off my back.

Reminder: Deadline is one hour earlier today than normal. Send in your e-mails to Hole Up, unless ordered to do so differently by Commander Yuri Kerene of Constantinople. He's the tactical genius. We should be able to avoid the first blow of bombardments.
If you have (A) weapons on your ships, have them join in the bombardment to repel the enemy fleets. I have sent in my action with the non-action of purchasing support services, as well.

Well. It looks like we failed. The combined forces of 3 fleets and Revil were too much for us. A shame, I'd like have thought that we could have held them to bombardments for a day or two. Once we see the roster updates, we'll see what we should do.
Other than the obvious Pull Back to Odessa.
