Emil had been called to the bridge. But not just any bridge, but the bridge of Lucifer's Fury, the Tivvay-class ship he had been stationed on a while ago. He wasn't entirely sure why he was called to the bridge, but he had a bad feeling about it. As he was leaving that morning, Laura Glensburg, the captain of the ship he was currently stationed at just gave him a cheerful "Have fun~" as he left, which made him even more worried. He had met the captain of Lucifer's Fury before, and to be honest, the thought of meeting her once more scared him. That woman managed to frighten him quite a bit the last time he met her, and he just knew it would only get worse this time. ~ In the bridge he saw her, the captain. She was sitting in her chair, just being quiet. Her stare sent fear through Emil, causing him to get paranoid about everything he's done. Oh man, they must've noticed when I sneaked into that infirmary where they kept Florian.. Maybe I shouldn't have bothered that "handler" so much.. Or maybe they've figured out that I used to be a feddie.. They must be planning on killing me or something.. he thought to himself, trying to keep his calm as he announced his presence to the captain. "Emil Myberg, re-reporting just as I was t-told, Ma'am!" He couldn't help but stutter a bit, the sheer presence of that captain was enough to make him nervous.

1 Day from Earth, Zeon Expeditionary Force Patrolling action Lucifer’s Fury, Tivvay-class Bridge
Captain Aleksandra “Sasha” Beria is in a foul mood.
The bridge crew sensed it too; they are more quiet than usual. Even the unflappable Dima is keeping himself busy with paperwork as the captain stewed in her command chair.
Her one good eye locked onto Emil Myberg and focused on him like the optical guidance system of a missile. Rising like a roused predator, Beria walked over to the former Federal pilot. Her heels clicked loudly on the steel deck with every footstep.
“Little one, do you know why you are here?” she asked slowly.
Before he can answer, another voice spoke up from behind him. This voice is also female and is as threatening as Beria’s.
“Actually captain, it is more like does he knows why he is allowed back into the war?”
Another pair of leather boots made their way over to Myberg. A stiff and unsmiling asian woman inspected the pilot like a drill sergeant eyeing a fresh recruit for the first time. Finally the officer turned to Beria.
“It seems as if you already made him obedient,” the asian woman observed.
“Men like him are broken easily,” Beria agreed. A moment of silent agreement, then the two women turned their attention back to Myberg.
“Emil Myberg,” the asian woman began,” you once fought as the enemy of Zeon. Then through the Zabi family’s good grace you are given a second chance at life. A second chance to prove your resolve against the Earth Federation and to prove the merit of your new loyalty to Zeon.”
She leaned in on Myberg’s face. “But you belong to me now.”
The asian officer then stood back up before raising her voice. “I am Lietuenant Colonel Veronica Wu and under the authority of the Zabi family and Wu Jinyuan Industries, I have been given complete command of the Zeon Expedition Force and of all autonomous units in the Earth sphere.” Off to the side, Beria clenched her teeth but kept her peace.
Lt. Colonel Wu turns her dark deathlike eyes back to Myberg. “So tell me…. little Myberg… why do you think you are still in the war?”

Tension was in the air. Emil knew that his fate laid in the hands of these two women, that they could end him if they so wished. He had thought to himself as the women were talking amongst eachother earlier. Obedient? Am I really like that? Sure, I follow the orders I am given, and I do the best I can, but.. he thought.
"But you belong to me now" the black-haired woman had said to him. He wasn't entirely sure what she meant with that, but he wasn't going to start questioning her. Heck, Emil could hardly look at her, her eyes staring as if she saw straight into his soul, her face lacking happiness. Veronica Wu.. he thought to himself, as he listened to her introduction. She might be even more frightening than the captain of this ship, I'd better make sure to stay on her good side.. if that is even possible.
"Er, um, eh.." Emil stuttered, trying to find words to answer her question.
"I-Is it because I am still useful, m-ma'am?" he asked, trying to avoid looking at her face.

1 Day from Earth, Zeon Expeditionary Force Patrolling action Lucifer’s Fury, Tivvay-class Bridge
“Useful barely covers it,” snorted Veronica Wu as she turned towards Captain Beria.
Her gaze met Beria’s good eye. “Have you gotten any good intelligence out of him?” she whispers.
“If boy hide secret,” admitted Beria as she tilted her head,” he must be movie actor.”
Both officers glanced back at the trembling Emil Myberg. “Ain’t that the truth,” agreed Wu.
“Command gave him ship,” Beria pointed out with some bemusement. A flicker in Veronica’s eyes showed that she shared the same feelings as the Russian captain.
“Yes and command gave me this mess of an inheritance.” Veronica walked a few steps as she circled Emil like a tiger.
“Perhaps colonel prefer to sit at dacha and drink tea?” asked Beria with more than a hint of skepticism.
The newly appointed commander of the Zeon Expeditionary Force looked over Emil’s shoulder and confronted Beria. “Make no mistake, captain. I am here to command this fleet and command it I will,” warned Veronica.
“Combat officer should lead troops,” challenged Beria as she took a step forward,” not political officer from headquarters.”
Everyone in the bridge crew cringed as they recognized the tone in Beria’s voice. Veronica’s tone wasn’t quite so diplomatic as well.
“Do I look like a preacher, captain?” asked Veronica with posion in her voice,” or are you looking for someone to say prayers for you before you go to bed.”
There was a collective gulp from the bridge crew of the “Lucifer’s Fury”. Suddenly dials and meter readings became very interesting to look at. Emil Myberg is in the worst position of all. The poor former EFSF pilot is sandwiched between Aleksandra Beria and Veronica Wu as the two women growled at each other. It was like being trapped between an angry Russian bear and a aggravated Chinese tiger.

Emil was afraid. These two women seemed like they could snap at any moment, and that they would snap his neck like a twig if he did something they didn't want. He tried to squirm away from the scene, but as soon as he started moving, he was met with the coldest stare he had ever seen, that of Veronica Wu. They're not letting me get away so easily, I guess.. Emil thought, trying his hardest not to freak out completely and just scream. He was trying to look away, as if he didn't notice the scene that was going on around him, but once more he was met with the cold, cold eyes of Veronica Wu. There was no escape for Emil, so he tried to explain things they seemed to be curious about instead.
"Er, um.. I w-wasn't given the ship, it was L-Laur-"
He should know this by now. First names are no good.
"Commander Glensburg w-was given the ship, not m-me.." he stuttered.
He knew he hadn't told them EVERYTHING he knows, but he figured that he shouldn't talk too much about his past. They might get curious, if I do. he thought to himself. However, he wasn't good at lying. Especially not when someone was angry at him.
"Um.. the reason my personnel file is the way it is.. Commander Glensburg said 'It'll be better this way.', and I t-trust her judgement. Bu-but I've told you everything I know, ho-honestly."
He knew he had to get away. And quickly. He tried to excuse himself.
"I-I'm sorry, but I think I need to go check up on mainte-"
Before he finished his sentence, Veronica Wu gave him a stare as cold as death himself. Emil went quiet.

1 Day from Earth, Zeon Expeditionary Force Patrolling action Lucifer’s Fury, Tivvay-class Bridge
Of all the members of the Wu family that Captain Aleksandra Beria had served under, only the women of that family ruffled her feathers to this degree. She approached the playful arrogance of Wu Jinyuan like the usual rich citizens Beria encountered during her police force days. Sun Wu was much more pleasant to work for, as he is a devoted combat officer and did his duty with efficiency.
But Sun Wu’s wife on the other hand, has a flame of ambition that burns as viciously as her own. This is unacceptable.
“Combat is unpredictable and deadly,” lectures Beria as she sizes up the Asian woman,” not like ballet at city theatre. Those before you learn hard lesson.”
Lieutenant Colonel Veronica Wu gave one small look at the shaking EFSF defector between her and Beria. But the reliability of Emil Myberg soon became less of a concern to her. The Russian woman had openly challenged her ability to command soldiers in war. This is unacceptable.
“You are shortsighted as you are tall Captain,” pointed out Veronica as stared Beria in her one good eye. “Combat has more depth than the randomness and bloodshed or do you fail to see beyond what is in front of you?”
The not so disguised jab at Beria’s disability raised a bemused eyebrow. “Then comrade colonel, prepare for surprise.”
Those words barely registered in the minds of the brigdecrew, when Beria swung her right arm out. Her right hand went directly for Veronica’s face, hand coiled like the razor sharp claws of a bear and with the equivalent strength of one.
The savage and powerful strike by the Russian captain swooshed over the head of the trembling Rick Dom pilot, but only tore empty air. The wife of Sun Wu had dropped to one knee and lunged upwards in one move to strike Beria in the face with her elbow. The sudden pounce from a crouching position sent her sailing around a startled Emil Myberg like a ferocious tiger.
But the captain of the Lucifer’s Fury parried the counter on reflex. Her immense strength flipped the blow aside with her left arm. But the Russian woman quickly took a step back as Veronica grabbed Myberg’s arm for supported as she does a reverse side kick at Beria’s head. The daughter-in-law of the Wu family saw her boot graze the edges of Beria’s long dirty blonde hair.
No sooner had the two women separated from the initial exchange did the normally disciplined bridge crew erupted in an uproar.

Before long, the two big(From Emil's point of view, at least) women had lunged at eachother. He had a feeling it would've happened, sooner or later, considering the massive tension that had filled the room beforehand. Shortly after the women started clawing at eachother, Emil felt a touch he knew all too well grabbing onto him, hugging him from behind. It was a gentle, warm touch that managed to calm him down quite a bit. His heart started pounding faster after a while, though, and he couldn't stop himself from grabbing the hands. The person behind him cleared her throat.
"Ahem."
Her voice didn't stop the uproar. She tried again.
"A-hem!"
She still got no reaction. Laura Glensburg started getting a bit annoyed, and really made sure people noticed her this time. She banged the metal heel of her boot onto the floor as loud as she could.
"Ladies! Enough already!"
Somehow, she managed to stop the fight, at least temporarily. She started talking, once more.
"Ahem. I understand that you might be tense from this whole situation, but this is not the time or place to fight."
She started getting a bit less serious.
"Besides, if you've got to fight, you should use swords or something, to get to the point quicker. Or maybe you could fight in mud.. I'd bet that would improve the morale of the men.. and some of the women.."
She obviously was starting to lose her focus. She realized it before long, and she blushed a little before continuing.
"Either way, I truly love seeing people use Emil, and I really want to encourage more people to use him. But can't you do it in private, at least?"
After finishing, she gave Veronica Wu a small wink.

1 Day from Earth, Zeon Expeditionary Force Patrolling action Lucifer’s Fury, Tivvay-class Bridge
Lieutenant Colonel Veronica Wu cast an angry glare at the woman behind Emil Myberg. It was bad enough that the new fleet commander must wrestle for dominant control of the Zeon Expeditionary Force, but Veronica can foresee having to deal with a smug subordinate. It isn’t as if the lastest head of the Wu family doubted the capabilities of Captain Aleksandra Beria; rather, she acknowledges the fact that the “Lucifer’s Fury” capatain has carried the autonomous Zeon space force this far with reasonable success.
Being distracted nearly cost Veronica dearly as Captain Beria swung a powerful Haymaker punch. The strong blow missed Veronica’s face by mere centimeters as the Asian woman evaded on reflex. Caught off balance, she backed off as Beria kept up the pressure with a left cross aimed to shrink the room Veronica has left to dodge.
The sudden succession of dodges and retreats send the two female fighters unknowingly into Emil Myberg and Commander Laura Glensburg. Just as the brutal tornado of strike and blows was going to collide into them, a pair of large hands grabbed them and yanked them to the clear.
The former EFSF pilot and the captain of the “Hardboiled” dangled off the ground as Commander Dmitry Balaganov stood to his full height of 6 feet 10 inches. He gently lowered the two to the ground a safe distance away from the spar.
“This no small quarrel between senior officers,” explained the big Russian man in a hushed tone,” this is negotiation.” He looks up at the power struggle on the bridge. The fight is still going on, both Beria and Veronica trapped in their own world as they parried and sparred.
“Crew respect Kaptain, no?” reasons Balaganov,” then new boss must earn kaptain’s respect before crew gives new boss theirs.”
At that moment, Veronica punched Beria in her midsection, striking the solar prexus while following up with a jab aimed for the diaphragm. But even as the MAF lieutenant colonel landed her blows, the Russian captain brought her fists down in a hammer strike on the the asian woman’s back. This final exchange of titanic blows caused Beria to flinch and clench her teeth loudly; it is the first time the bridge crew heard that type of response from the “Iron Queen”. At the same time, Veronica gagged as the violent impact vibrated through her body.
Both women managed to stop themselves from falling as they staggered away from each other. A moment passed as both warriors eyed each other while gasping for breath.
“…Not bad…,” allowed Beria between breaths,” … scout infantry?”
Veronica shook her head before replying,” Nyet…‘voyska… spetsialnogo… naznacheniya’.”
Beria’s eyebrows shot up in surprise which stunned everyone watching. You don’t normally catch her offguard. But having an officer reveal to her in her native tongue that she was once a special forces member is a different story. It wasn’t a lie, as Beria’s police instincts told her. No, a person under the stress of combat and andrenaline does not lie to this extent.
“Gde ty nauchilsya govorit’ na russkom?” asked Beria. Where did you learn to speak Russian?
“Moĭ muzh nauchil menya…” confessed Veronica. My husband taught me.
Beria caught the split second look of sadness on Veronica’s face as she mentioned her dead spouse. “ On byl horoshim soldatom,” allowed Beria. He was a good soldier. Veronica just nodded solemnly.
A quiet murmur echoed from the bridge crew as the normally unflappable Balaganov squinted his eyes. “Nichevo…” muttered Balaganov under his breath.
“You have seen surprises in your time then,” remarked Beria in English as she got back control of her breathing.
“As did you, Captain Beria.” Veronica sensed something had changed.
The new commander of the Zeon Expeditionary Force and all of Zeon’s autonomous space units looked around the bridge. The numbing pain slowly gave way to a feeling of accomplishment.
“Comrade colonel…” said Captain Beria as she straightens her jacket while standing back up to her full height. Veronica quickly did the same. “I believe we can talk operation procedures now.”
“Da,” agreed Veronica with a hidden sigh of relief.

As soon as the storm had calmed, Laura Glensburg thanked the giant Russian man for helping them out.
"Aaah~. That was pretty close, huh? Thanks.. Dmitry was it, right?"
After thanking the big man, she went to the two other ship captains, and brought Emil with her.
"I'm sorry to disturb you ladies in your pleasant moment, but I have a message from Kycillia Zabi that I think you two might need to hear." She said, taking out a letter from her briefcase.
"Ahem" She cleared her throat before starting.
"Considering the current events, including but not exclusively protecting Florian Cuyler and his prototype Newtype weapon, I recommend that Petty Officer Emil Myberg is transferred to the Mobile Assault Force. I realize that he was a part of the Earth Federation Space Forces not too long ago, however, thanks to the discussion I had with Lieutenant General Glensburg and Commander Glensburg, I would like to give him a chance. I feel that his abilities might be too much for the Space Assault Force to handle, and that he might come to full bloom in the Mobile Assault Force."
She took a few long breaths before continuing.
"I firmly believe that Lieutenant Colonel Veronica Wu and Captain Aleksandra Beria will find a use for the Petty Officer, and that he will show his true colors under their supervision, which is why he is being assigned under them."
Once more, she took a few long breaths.
"This is not a request, but rather an order. As of November 4th, Universal Century 0079 the superior officer of Petty Officer Emil Myberg is asked to sign all the neccessary documents in order to validate the transfer of Petty Officer Emil Myberg to the Mobile Assault Force."
"At the end it is signed 'Kycillia Zabi: Leader of the Mobile Assault Force'" she finished, showing the paper to the two MAF captains.
She kept talking, however.
"While I wouldn't want to let my little brother go so easily, I'm afraid I don't have much choice. However, I think it'll be fun to see how he handles being the subordinate of such feisty women."
She winked at Veronica Wu once more, before turning to Emil Myberg.
"Emil, would you please listen to the women of the MAF? Oh, and would you please treat them just like if they were me?"
Emil Myberg's eyes seemed to lose all spark for a split second, before he replied with a dull "Yes ma'am".
Laura Glensburg opened her briefcase and took out a big folder, which she handed to Veronica Wu.
"Here you go. It's all the papers needed for the transfer. Have fun~" she said, with a sinister smile on her face.

1 Day from Earth, Zeon Expeditionary Force Patrolling action Lucifer’s Fury, Tivvay-class Bridge
Lieutenant Colonel Veronica Wu barely had a chance to catch her breath from the prestige she just won when she is interrupted again. Groaning silently, the MAF officer turned away from the Tivvay’s captain. It is the same woman that tried to stop the fight earlier. Veronica nearly forgot that another smug subordinate exists nearby.
The newest commander of the Zeon Expeditionary Force breathed deeply as she let the rush of hand-to-hand combat fade away. As she did so, both her and Captain Aleksandra Beria passively listened to the loud woman ramble on until they both heard the same thing.
Like a well oiled-machine the two senior officers of the fleet stood up and pointed their sidearms at the woman that Emil Myberg is hiding behind.
“First of all,” began Veronica as she steadily aimed her Walther P99,” it’s rather rude of you not to properly introduce yourselves before drawing attention…”
“She is captain of Scout Musai,” informed Beria as her one good eye watched kept the sights of her own service pistol pointed,” SAF Commander Laura Glensburg.”
“… right,” sighed Veronica without moving her eyes away from Glensburg,” but even more importantly…. didn’t she just say that the boy here is her little brother?”
“Da, she did. Coincidence that defector and high ranking officer are related? Maybe.”
“But related and working together with authorization orders?” said Veronica as she completed Beria’s thought,” that’s suspicious isn’t it, Kaptain?”
“Da, comrade colonel.”
“Especially since I wasn’t aware about this from the briefings and dossiers command gave me.”
“Neither was I,” sneered Beria. Behind them all, Dmitry Balagnov had his own weapon drawn and was blocking the bridge exit.
“So, Commander Glensbug,” said Veronica as she studied the woman the former EFSF pilot. “Explain all of this. I promise I won’t turn you over to the Schutzstaffel.”
Because depending on what you tell us, there may not be enough left of either of you to give to them.

Laura gave the two women a smug smile.
"You call me rude, and yet you're the ones pointing guns at me?" She said, obviously not very amused.
"So what if he's my little brother? I love him, and he was the reason I infiltrated the Earth Federation army! I'm not just going to stand here while you accuse him of something he doesn't deserve!" Her eyes were filled with fire, almost as if the very sun itself was inside them, burning everything that dared look straight at them.
However, she managed to calm down a bit. I guess the situation calls for it she thought to herself.
"Besides, if you would actually LOOK at the papers, or even send a message to Kycillia Zabi, you will find out that everything is in order." She said as she shrugged.
"And honestly, is this really the time to point guns at ourselves? This just seems rather... pointless." she pointed out. "Especially considering that giant force the Feddies seem to be moving."

1 Day from Earth, Zeon Expeditionary Force Patrolling action Lucifer’s Fury, Tivvay-class Bridge
For all of Laura Glensburg’s confidence, nothing quite catches your attention like the barrel of a gun being shoved into your mouth. Lieutenant Colonel Veronica Wu barely blinked as she shoved the business end of her Walther P99 between the SAF officer’s fat lips and into the back of her throat. For added effect, the ZEF commander pulls the slide of the gun back, letting Glensburg feel the metallic clicks of the gun through her teeth and tongue.
“Secret operations against the EF army?” asked Veronica bitterly,” you ‘infiltrated him’? Even if that is true, the little boy over there didn’t even know you planted him in the EF ranks. Otherwise he would have brought back something more useful when he defected.”
With her free left hand, Veronica yanked the paperworks from Glensburgs hands. “Kaptain, would you please?”
Captain Beria took the papers without a word, her one good eye reads through the important parts of the documents. When she is finished, Beria replied,” Papers appear to be in order, comrade colonel.”
“We’ll see about that,” said Veronica, her hand still holding the barrel of her gun in Glensburg’s mouth,” tell me Kaptain, how has the commander’s performance been since she got here?”
“Satisfactory,” allowed Beria,” Scout Musai feeds targeting data to fleet. Accurate and on time.”
“Hmph,” pondered Veronica. After a moment’s thought, she withdrew her pistol from Laura Glensburg mouth. Veronica’s wipes the salvia on her gun off on Laura’s jacket uniform before putting it back in its holster.
“I cannot dispute successes,” admits Veronica as she took the documents from Beria,” so we’ll address this matter another time. Now, however, who is in charge of mobile suit operatons?”
“That is Lieutenant Junior Grade Richard Banks,” said Captain Beria as she sat back down in her command chair.
“Excellent,” proclaimed Veronica as she looks around the bridge,” I want all operations officers to report to me in one hour for immediate action against the Earth Federal Space Force…”
She smiled for the first time this day. “… Our first target is the EFSF Resupply Fleet.”
