Name: Roslyn O'Hara
Rank:Vice-Captain Captain
Age: 27
Gender: Female
Ethnicity: French-American
Height: 5'11"
Weight 140 lbs.
Eyes: Blue
Hair: Blond
Birthplace: Earth, USA
Description: Other than she is of medium height, there is no consistency to her appearance. To describe her is to describe a dream you had the night before, vivid at first glance, but slowly disappearing and forgotten until the next one. Her long blond hair will flow like leaves to the wind one morning, only to become lifeless at night. And then there is her eyes. One can normally tell how a person is feeling by looking into their eyes. Not hers. Like a broken mirror, you can only see pieces of her emotions, none as a whole, and you are left to wonder if you are seeing what you want to see and not what's really there. She is usually wearing a blouse and skirt, but even her clothes can change several times in the day.
Personality: She was once carefree, with morals that can put a saint to shame, but that was a lifetime ago, and many things can change in a lifetime. She is often seen talking to herself, sometimes even having an entire conversation by herself. Her eyes constant shift around, as if looking for something, and sometimes she finds it, even though there's nothing there. She always complain about a headache she is having, sometimes driven to the point of breaking down and screaming, and other times, she stares off into nothing, eyes lifeless as the space outside. Only her crew has seen this side of her, to anyone else, she puts up a composed, yet undeniably eerie, demeanor.
Background: Roslyn O'Hara was born to a well-off family, she would go through various things in life before ending up as a vice-captain of a freighter. And then she died.
She awoke the next day, living a life that was no longer hers. She spoke but there was no meaning in what she said, she walked, but there was no life in her step, she breathed, but what's the point. Then, she was shot in her back three times and left to die yet again.
She awoke once more, her life was saved by someone she knew from a past life. A man who swore to do no harm and to save others, but in doing so, he let another man die. Himself. Alone yet again, she was free in the truest sense of the word. Free from her captors, free from her past life, free from her friends. But fate is cruel, and has a twisted sense of humor. A forgotten life insurance, written by herself, to be given to the captain. With the current captain dead, she has just been promoted to captain. Through the miracle of bureaucratic efficiency, she has just cashed in her own life insurance for being dead. Not without a newfound sense of twisted humor herself, Roslyn took the money to become the captain of a worn-out transport and took off to space once again.
[doctor's note: This is the last time I'm letting the captain edit her own profile. Damn actresses and their flair for the dramatic.]
Description: Tall, long well-kept blond hair, and of above average beauty, she has everything an actresses needs to succeed. Her body is well-toned and exceedingly fit for someone of her age, but her recent bouts of insomnia has caused her body and face to deteriorate at an unhealthy rate. She had been wearing various clothes and accessories to hide her condition but lately, she has defaulted to a standard blouse and long dress. Fortunately, the insomnia is being taken care of and will result in a full recovery of her body. Her sagging eyes bags and wrinkles on the other hand...
Personality: Her insomnia and various psychological problems, (as well as a certain condition which will not be discussed here) has caused drastic changes to her base personality. She is easily irritated, her mood changes sporadically, and prone to violence. She also had a recorded cause of night terror as she shot at an ensign that tried to wake her up. [See case # RH1-43x] Fortunately, she missed any vital organs and the ensign narrowly survived. But after treating her from the cause of her insomnia and some of her psychological problems, she is showing signs of her original personality. She is finally starting to acknowledge her responsibilities and have begin to socialize with others again. In short, she seemed happier.
History: Born to an Earth-based noble, she has three other siblings. Her older brother died while she was still young while her younger brother and sister are still alive. She enrolled into the academy but left before her graduation and went into space. There, she worked as a waitress while auditioning for various shows and movies. Her most notable role is the voice actress for Mistress Eurasia for a foreign animation. Afterward, she joined up with Captain John Cassidy and because his vice-captain. However, all their ships were ambushed and the crew were all killed except for her and someone named Maria Pinoir. Due to a bizarre bureaucratic error, she was able to cash in her own life insurance and used the money to buy her own ship. Her survivor's guilt probably influenced her pysche to go back to space where she had probably planned to die with the others. After some psychological evaluations and procedures performed by the ship's doctor, she no longer has these thoughts.
[doctor's note: I was fortunate enough to diagnose her mental problems and devised a shock treatment for her. I got her to face her fears and even managed to uncover the reason for her repeated nightmares. But I feared I had gone too far and she began to have suicidal thoughts. I had originally planned to use a combination of hallucinogen and hypnosis to calm her down, but I couldn't do it without her consent. It is rather fortunate, or unfortunate for her, that she ingested the drugs which I had disguised as sugar cubes. I quickly followed up with a hypnosis when she was half-conscious and made her realize she has every right to live despite the contrary.]
