Should I hold out the amount I'd need to buy an npc pilot(I'd throw her in an existing GM)? Also would it be wise to buy an NPC captain for the Buster Ichi Go?

I checked the rules in terms of purchasing. From the way I understood it you could only buy mobile suits and npc pilot for fleet you own. So you buying a npc for the fleet could be problematic zero.
As for the Itchy I was going to discuss that with you and everyone else in chat. I thnk it is in good shape with the current ship captain. Last I checked it was lvl3
