XIII – 1x Zaku II F, 2x Zaku II D, 4x Zaku II J, 1x Zaku II D
Strategy
Obviously here to tackle White Base.
The Westliche can bombard anything within 11 squares, and thanks to its Luggun, should be able to do so relatively well. Target preference should favor things that will definitely give us problems (Luna MS, Admirals, Bombarding Ships, Large Formation).
On this note the first turn I believe that enemy unit XI (1x GMPGT, 4x GM G, 2x GM, 1x T74) should be singled out for bombardment. This is located in the same area as enemy I (6x Admiral A-1, 5x Marines, 1x T74), III (15x T61, 4x T61, 1x T74, 5x Marines), and D (Venus - Heavy Fork + 1x Marines, 2x Dragonfly, 1x Dish). Even delaying these forces should be enough to stifle the enemy attack.
Turn One
- Dobday targets forces in D3 for bombardment.
Enemy attacks are unlikely to seriously damage the Dobday at this time. It's an out of the way enemy target. The other forces are also within cover and unlikely to be seriously damaged. Their mission can thus continue to be largely the same. The target preference continues to be the same, however, the previous target is most likely to be destroyed or damaged sufficiently at this point.
Following the previous line of reasoning, the next largest enemy group of mobile suits is to be targeted for annihilation. Enemy team XII (1x GMPGT, 2x GM G, 4x GM, 1x T74) is the most likely target due to its proximity to V (15x T61, 1x T74, 5x Marines) on the opening turn. If both forces are together then this will be the primary bombardment target. If not then another large formation will be chosen for destruction. Particular attention will be paid to making sure that the pressure on the center forces is not too great; letting them fall could end things.
Note that the enemy mobile suit formations are thought to be the primary threat. Is this a mistake? Should primary targets be the enemy Big Trays?
Turn 2
- Dobday targets enemy mobile suits teams.

B - Nordlich - Dobday + 1x Luggun, 1x Marines
C - Asgard - Dobday + 1x Marines
Strategy
In accordance with the turn one strategy being used by the North-East Forces, all three Dobday are to target enemy forces in D3. Annihilation of these forces should be enough to seriously hamper the enemy advance.
Turn One - All three Dobday and Xamels target D3 for bombardment.
How likely is this force to have taken a bombardment or two? Very. This is our primary bombardment area and the enemy forces would be fools to pass it up. A conservative estimate is one Dobday being unable to continue bombardment at this time. I'll go with two Dobdays being destroyed at this point in time.
The remaining Dobday is to bombard the same target as the Westliche from the North-East Forces. If communication can not be established to coordinate the bombardment then the remaining Dobday are to bombard enemy formations closing in on the center region over any forces approaching their own line.
Once again this begs the question of whether it's better to attack approaching mobile suits or the ships supporting them. It's unknown what the situation will be at this time, but it's safe to say that the enemy bombardment will have done decent damage. It is in our best interest to then to try and specifically attack enemy bombarding units at this time unless there is a pressing reason to attack other targets.
What could this reason be?
I believe at this point we will be facing a paradropped mobile suits. The obvious response is for our mobile suits to deal with them, but if they can be pinned down before reaching our lines, then those units should naturally be bombarded with everything possible before they have a chance to tear through the lines.
Should forces be dispatched to deal with the paradropped forces?
To some extent yes. The closest Gallop should go ahead and begin moving toward the enemy to get within range to bombard. 5 (Ota Naomi, 3x Gouf) should be dispatched with them to tackle the enemy formation, and if the enemy's size warrants it, 6 (Ferusha Glavadeen, 1x Zaku II K, 2x Zaku II J) as well. They must make sure that the enemy does not get past the trenches or reach the center line.
Turn Two
- Dobdays and Xamels bombard approaching targets.
- A Gallop and 5 move to intercept paradropped suits.
- 6 to assists Gallop and 5 if size of enemy force warrants it.

1 - Alec Irusk, 2x Xamel, 1x Luggun
XVII - 13x Magella, 2x Gunship Heli, 5x Marines
XVIII - 13x Magella, 2x Gunship Heli, 5x Marines
Strategy
Our weakest front. Of special mention are the four Xamel, Apsalus (Yuji Takeshi) and Hildorf (Alec Irusk). The Xamel have a range of 8, Apsalus has an unknown range but great mobility, and the Hildorf has a range of 3.
For the first turn I favor having the four Xamel blast their counterparts of the VII (4 Guntanks) to hell and back. Target D7 for bombardment.
What's best to do with Yuji and the Apsalus? I doubt it can sufficiently close in on the enemy Big Trays to deliver killing blows at this point in time due to enemy snipers. If it's possible I believe it should be kept in reserve; stored in a hangar, bunker, or other suitable place where it doesn't need to worry about attack. Use it later in conjunction with a bombardment or when the enemy ships to begin to close in a sudden massive attack.
If the cover option is not possible then the Apsalus should move towards the Gaws. When the Gaws turn back, the Apsalus should remain in the relative safety behind them. This would essentially make it part of the reserve forces if it hopefully survives.
The presence of the enemy JCB formation nearby also raises the question of whether the Apsalus is their target. XXIV is meant specifically to counter that force, and with the assistance of the ground forces in the area as well as the AA, the enemy JCBs should be wiped out without the Apsalus taking massive damage.
Turn One
- Xamels bombard enemy formations in D7.
- 9 (Yuji) to seek cover.
I suppose the Xamels took some hits and that their target has been reduced to smoking ruins. Another blow to our bombardment capability but we still maintain a strong ground presence. The Xamels should go ahead and bombard in a defensive capacity at this point; if it's closing in on the lines then it's a primary target especially if it's nearing the center trench forces.
The units assigned to the area should remain in cover for as long as possible. If this is the breaking point then a bombardment will be thick and heavy.
Turn Two
- Xamels bombard closest enemy formations.
- Zaku II K join in bombardment of force in range.

Strategy
Heavy hitters. Dobday and Xamel have range so they're going to be bombarding on Turn 1. The forces in F10 make decent targets. While they aren't particularly strong, I believe that it's best to strike them hard before they can gain any ground.
Turn One
- Xamel and Dobday bombard forces in F10.

The point of these troops is to attack White Base and reinforce the lines in case it gets to be too much. Turn One there isn't much for them to do. No forces within range to attack. 10 and XXIII are most definitely to be used in the attack on White Base so I propose moving them towards the White Base zone. The others can wait until they're definitely needed.

Our keystone. While the Gaw Recon is up the enemy bombing runs will be highly difficult and based mostly on sight. After that targets are going to be picked, and most likely, those same targets will be destroyed. We reached an agreement on having the Gaw Recon fitted with fake MPCs to make it look like all the others.
I don't believe that we should let our flying fortresses idle in the air though. I propose moving them out from L6 to N4 in turn one and then having them double back to strike the enemy air wings head on after they've been softened up by our base defenses. This is probably a stupid idea because it relies on the enemy being utterly confused by the Recon Gaw to the point that they can't just hit all the juicy targets but it extends their life somewhat by keeping them away from snipers and hillocks a tiny bit longer.
I'm not sure I want to launch Dopps in turn one due to the fuel issue. They can stay in the air for three turns, and while they aren't going to do a whole lot of good against the hordes they're being sent against, I want them to do as much good as possible. So the question becomes how to do this?
The enemy airwings are only going to be moving as fast as their slowest units. Initially I thought maybe we could maneauver the in a way to strike at the Depp Roggs but this is highly unlikely. I propose then that we make our own advantage. Instead of hitting the enemy head on, I say hit strike them piecemeal with everything we got.
We'll draw the enemy wings to the Gaws and hit only one of the enemy formations with everything we have. The others will be singled out for bombardment. When the Dopps wipe out the smaller force they can leap frog into higher concentrations, but at any point if it looks too hairy, I say pull them back.
It risks the Gaws but it gives us a chance to bleed out the Federal air wings as well as keep the air contested for as long as possible.
Quick talk with Draco and I want this changed. Two groups of Dopps on the Gaws for protection, three groups for the raid on the passing planes, and one group for reserve.
I've also taken note that there is a large formation of enemy fighters in D5. Is this worth striking against? Most likely no but I believe the reserve force (XXIV) should be perfect for handling them after they've begun to strike at targets within our lines. The idea would be to catch them while they're bombing, and in the confusion of the AA fire, make sure that they are no longer combat effective.
Turn One - Gaws move to N4. I and II launch to guard Gaws. XXIV launchs to guard against enemy XVII (21x JCB, 1x Dish).
