I'll also be sending this as an attatched Word Document in a mass email. That one will probably be easier to read. Included at the bottom is everyone's individual objectives.
Here it is folks:
Remember everyone, once Odessa starts we cannot communicate with each other through the message boards or through email. Please avoid doing so as it would be cheating. I’ve tried to keep everyone’s objectives fairly simple. Since we are unable to communicate, everyone will have to use their own judgment about where they could best assist our effort.
Good Luck Everyone!

This will be broken into categories to make it easier to follow: Naval Group, North Group, Central Group, South Group, 42nd Brigade and 87th Independent.
General Strategy for GM Snipers and Medeas:
GM Snipers: Priority targets are enemy Gaws and Mobile Armors. ALL GM SNIPERS SHOULD FIRE ON THE APSALAS SHOULD IT BE IN RANGE. Second to the Apsalas in importance is the enemy Recon Gaw. If no priority targets are in range, snipers are to fire at will at any targets that happen to be in range.
Medeas: The Medeas located at C5 and H14 will be concerned with resupplying the various units in the task force. I would have two Medeas from the H14 group assist the resupply of the Naval Group and the remaining Medea assist the resupply of the South Group. For the C5 group, I would have two Medeas assist with the resupply of the North Group while the remaining Medea assists with resupply for Central Group. I don’t really know how to make this that detailed other than saying we have lots of Medeas, they will be used for resupply, put them where they’re needed.
Artillery Support Targets (If Jojo buys this there should be 3 of them):
-K9, J6, J7
Naval Group:
Ships: C, H, I, K, L, M, T, U, V, X
Units: VIII, IX, XIV, XV, XVI, XVIII, XIX, XX, XXI, XXIII, XXIV, XXV
Consists of Himalaya group starting in the southeast corner of the map. This group will advance north-north west towards Odessa proper. Air units, led by Amy Bauer-Meister will engage enemy air group which I predict will be some combination of enemy Dopps and Gaws. The goal is to force the enemy air group into a decisive battle and thus achieve air superiority. I predict this will probably play out somewhat like the massive air battles of past Odessas. The initial speed of advance by the naval ships should be roughly one square per turn, speeding up or slowing down as dictated by the amount of enemy resistance encountered. Advance will place the Hillocks in front followed closely by the Himalaya’s and finally the Ferries farther to the rear, which will mainly be used for resupply efforts. In the event that air superiority is achieved, aircraft will proceed to bomb Odessa while naval units approach the shore in order to begin bombardment. Aquatic MS may attempt an amphibious assault if conditions are favorable, meaning air and naval superiority has been achieved.
Western Naval Bombardment Group:
Ships: J, W
The Everest Montana in the bay to the southeast will be bombarding the enemy base while the Hillock is there to provide defense for the Everest as well as possibly assisting the defense of the Sir. Francis Drake from a land based assault.
Bombardment Targets:
Montana (J):
Turn 1-rivercrossing is secured: Shoreline defenses in the K9, J9 area to provide artillery support for the South Group’s advance on the east-west bridge in J9
After Bridge is secured: Switch targets to inside the base itself (J6, J7, K6, K7).
Pasture (W):
Turn1- ?: H10- Zeon Position
After H10 is secured: defensive bombardment to protect the Montana and the Sir Francis Drake from any enemy advances.
North Group:
Ships: B, D
Units: I, III, IV, X, XI
This is a heavy assault group and one of our main attack groups led by our Admirals that will advance towards H3 and attack the enemy trench from the northwest. The Bhatan will participate in the advance on the enemy position while the Venus stays back to bombard. All units will advance at a speed of 1 square per turn in order to stay together. MS will help provide cover for the advancing tanks in the event of an enemy attack. The Bhatan will concentrate its weapons, forward MPC’s etc. on the enemy trench during the advance. After the enemy forces around the trench are neutralized, this group will proceed southeast into the enemy base taking a route that will bring them through J4 to hopefully join up with the 87th Integrated fleet’s advance from the northeast on their way south towards the enemy base. ONCE THE TRENCH IS SECURED, NORTH GROUP WILL LAUNCH A GREEN FLARE TO LET BOMBARDING ARTILLERY KNOW THEY CAN SWITCH TARGETS.
Unit III will head slightly south and help secure the zone position in G4 before moving onto participate in the assault on the enemy trench.
Bombardment Targets:
Venus (D):
Turn 1 - ?: Sweeping bombardment of the enemy trench in H3
After trench is bypassed: Switch to targets inside the enemy base like J6-J7 or K6-K7
Individual Unit Movements/Strategies:
-Bhatan (B)- Move F2 – G2 to assault the enemy trench in H3 from the northeast. After Trench is bypassed, move on into the base itself. GM Sniper onboard will fire at enemy Mobile Armors if encountered.
-IV (Tank Group) – Advnace with the Bhatan
-X (Invincible Third) – Advnace with Bhatan
-I (Admirals), III (Tank Group), IX (MS Group)- Advance with the Bhatan, on its right flank slightly to the south towards the enemy trenches (E3-F3-G3-…) Once the trench is bypassed, move southeast with the Bhatan into Odessa proper.
Central Group:
Ships: E, F, A
Units: VII, XII, XIII, XVII, XXII
This group’s task will mainly be bombardment of the enemy base. Air units in this group will mainly be concerned with protecting allied units on the western half of the battlefield from enemy air forces. Should unquestioned air superiority be obtained, allied aircraft will proceed to bomb the enemy base. MS in this group will mostly be concerned with protecting the allied Big Trays. I would have one group protect Venus/Excelsior and the other protect Jupiter/Francis Drake.
Unit Strategies:
Unit XII (MS Team): Assume a defensive posture in the E7 area to protect Sir Francis Drake and Jupiter.
Unit XIII (MS Team): Assume a defensive posture in the E4 area to protect the Venus and Excelsior.
Unit XVII (JCB’s): Prepare for a bombing run on the enemy trenches in H3- H4. Time this so it occurs at the around the same time as the advancing ground units begin to engage the enemy forces near the trenches. Also assist with attacking enemy Air MS and Mobile Armors. Once the trench is bypassed, provide air cover for the bombarding Big Trays of Central Group.
XXII (Air Group): Move southeast to the H10 area to help secure the airspace for the units from the 42nd Brigade that will be paradropping in. Once 42nd has finished its paradrop operations, provide general air support for Central Group.
Bombardment Targets:
Unit VII (Guntank Squad):
Turn 1-trench is secured: Bombard I5 targeting enemy artillery
After Trench is secured: bombard targets inside the base itself (J6, J7, K6, K7)
Excelsior (F):
Turn 1-trench is secured: Bombard enemy trenches in H4 area
After Trench is secured: bombard targets inside the base itself (J6, J7, K6, K7)
Jupiter (E):
Turn 1-trench is secured: Bombard enemy positions around the southeast corner of H4. GM Sniper onboard will target enemy Mobile Armor’s near the trench area in the north.
After trench is secured: bombard targets inside the base itself (J6, J7, K6, K7)
Sir Francis Drake (A):
Turn 1-end: Bombard northeast corner of J7, targets of interest within the enemy base. GM Sniper onboard will target enemy Mobile Armor’s near the trench area in the north.
South Group:
Ships: G
Units: II, V, VI
This group consisting of tanks and infantry will form a lighter southern strike force that will advance to secure the Zeon position at H10 and then move on to J9 in an attempt to secure the bridge there crossing the river from west-east. This group includes a lot of infantry, which should be pretty effective in the urban areas around the bridges. If unable to secure the east-west Bridge in J9, switch objectives to securing the north-south bridge in J8. The Big Tray Tyrant will participate in this advance. In the event that the bridge is secured the group proceeds onto Odessa. MS from the 42nd Brigade will reinforce this group. This is not our main strike force and I do not expect it to accomplish much but its main purpose is to force the enemy to commit units to the south, helping to open up the much stronger attacks coming from the north.
Unit Strategies:
-Tyrant (G)- Advance east towards H10. Once H10 is secured, move north east towards the bridge in J9.
Unit V: Advance southeast towards J9, eventually meet up with the Tyrant
Unit II: Stick with the Tyrant as it advances
Unit VI: Stick with the Tyrant as it advances
42nd Brigade:
Ships: f, g, h, i, j
Will be paradropping in from the south of the map. Individual Medeas will break away from the fleet to paradrop PC’s to various locations. After dropping their assigned units, Medeas will break off and begin to help with necessary resupply efforts. Jojo will probably do something crazy
If Jojo buy’s any Tin Cods for this group they are to help provide cover for the Din and Mississippi as they proceed with their paradrop operation.
Turn 1 Movements (I know the paradrops will occur at the beginning of Turn 2)
g – California – Move to M14 and Drop Hirsch and Charles Gano so they can meet up with the Naval Group to help protect it
h – Texas – Move to M14 and ‘drop’ Scott Archer so he can meet up with the air group from the Naval Group
f – Mississippi – Move to H10 and drop Thorvald Siggurdson, Jim Irwin will provide Escort cover
i – Din - Move to H10 and drop Seth Yamanu and Jarvis Ackart
j- Horus’ Bait – Move to E10 and drop Aurem Senaiha and Arianna Elvy Saoirse
87th Integrated Fleet:
Ships: Z, a, b, b, d, e
Units: XXVII, XXVIII, XXIX, XXX, XXXI, XXXII, XXXIII
Will come into the battle on turn 1 in the northeast corner of the map as per posted deployment. This group will attempt to move south down through the Isthmus (L3, L4). The Big Sioux (Z) and Paragon (c) will stay back and bombard while the Gofannon (b) and Crusade (a) participate in the advance. In anticipation of strong resistance because of the loss of maneuver in the narrow terrain, the Medeas will be paradropping units into K2 that will then move south to help widen the front on the isthmus. After paradrop, Medeas will break off to begin resupply operations.
Turn 1 Ship Moves (I know paradrops will occur at the beginning of turn 2):
Z - Big Sioux- Hold Position in O1, begin bombardment
c – Paragon- Move to O2, begin bombardment
a – Crusade- Move to N2 on way down isthmus towards enemy base
b – Gofannon- Move to N2 on way down isthmus towards enemy base
d – Missouri- Move to northeast corner of K2, drop units
e - Spirit of New Amsterdam- Move to northeast corner of K2, drop units
Unit Strategy:
Turn 1
XXVII (Tank Group)- Move to N2, stick near Big Trays as they advance
XXVIII (Tank Group)- Move to N2, stick near Big Trays as they advance
XXIX (MS Group)- Move to N2, stick near Big Trays as they advance, MS are to advance with the tank group and not move away from it with their greater speed except to close and engage enemy MS when necessary
XXXI (Airgroup) – Move to K2 to escort paradropping Medeas
XXXII, XXXIII (Airgroup)- Move to the M3 to assume a defensive position in case enemy air group moves towards the fleet. Move to engage enemy air group if necessary.
Turn 2 onward:
XXX (MS Group)- After paradrop, move to L3 and engage enemy position. Try to time this so they are attacking the same time as the rest of the 87th rolling down the isthmus. After L3 is secured, join up with the rest of the 87th as it advances southward
87th Ground Group: Continue advance down isthmus and then into the enemy base.
87th Air Group: Continue to provide air cover for the 87th, both the advancing portions and those ships that have stayed back to bombard.
Artillery Targets:
Big Sioux (Z):
Turn 1-2: Bombard Enemy position at L3
Turn 3- ?- Provide artillery support for the advancing portion of the 87th. If support is no longer needed, switch targets to K7 or other targets of interest inside of the enemy base.
Paragon (c):
Turn 1-end: Bombard K7
Summary of Strategy:
The main push will be made in the north by a two pronged attack by the North Group and the 87th Integrated. The goal is for these forces to eventually link up in K4-K5 area and then move south. South Group’s attack is mainly a diversionary movement to keep the Zeon forces from placing all their emphasis on the north. Artillery fire from Central Group in the west should help to prevent the Zeon defenders from shifting all their artillery to cover the north. I am fairly confident that the Naval Group should eventually be able to win air superiority. Once this occurs, Odessa will be vulnerable to bombing from the air as well as naval bombardment from the south east.
Individual PC Objectives:
(ALL PEOPLE WHO ARE PARADROPPING. YOU CAN MOVE THE SAME TURN THAT YOU ARE DROPPED WHICH SHOULD BE TURN 2 FOR PRETTY MUCH ALL OF YOU)
EFGF
Aurem Senaiha- Turn 1 you will be aboard a Medea and will not be able to do anything. Turn 2 you will be dropped off in the E10 Area and are then to move to the Sir Francis Drake and snipe from there. Targets of interest include enemy Mobile Armors and Gaws. You are free to prioritize your targets. If you can, try to shoot the Apsalas or Recon Gaw Ouroborous.
Bryce Hollerfelt- Protect the bombarding Big Trays of Central Group to the best of your ability. These include Sir Francis Drake (A), Jupiter (E), Excelsior (F) and Venus (D). Priority is given to protecting General Revil (A) in the south. I don’t expect you to hold the north, but try to reinforce there if it seems like there’s a reasonable chance that it could be held. Arianna will be meeting up with you.
Charles Gano- Turn 1 you will be aboard a Medea and will not be able to do anything. Turn 2 you will be paradropped into the water in the M14 area. You are to meet up with the Himalaya Naval group and help with the defense against enemy aquatic Mobile Suits and Mobile Armors. Should naval superiority be achieved, you are free to approach the shore and bombard/amphibious assault at your discretion.
Cray Vermillion- You will be coming in with the 87th in the northeast corner of the map in N1. Turn 1 you are to move to N2. You are to lead the 87th tank advance down the isthmus (L3 Area) into Odessa proper. You primary objective is to engage enemy Mobile Suits that threaten the advancing Big Trays.
Seth Yamanu- Turn 1 you will be on board a Medea and not be able to do anything. Turn 2 you will paradrop into the H10 area to secure the enemy position. You are then to join the South Group as it advances towards J9 and attempts to secure the east-west bridge over the river. More details concerning the advance our in general strategy under South Group. Should a major Zeon counterattack appear in the south, you may have to stop your advance to deal with that threat.
Thomas Parks- You will be coming in with the 87th in the northeast corner of the map, turn 1 you will be onboard a Medea and will not be able to do anything. Turn 2 you will paradrop into the K2 area and proceed south towards L3 to engage the enemy position there. These include Sir Francis Drake (A), Jupiter (E), Excelsior (F) and Venus (D). Priority is given to protecting General Revil (A) in the south.
Bigby Wolfe- You will be coming in with the 87th in the northeast corner of the map, turn 1 you will be onboard a Medea and will not be able to do anything. Turn 2 you will paradrop into the K2 area and proceed south towards L3 to engage the enemy position there. You will then meet up with the advancing portions of the 87th and stay close to them as they advance south into the base itself. Your priority is to engage enemy mobile suits.
Scott Archer- You will be deploying with the 42nd Brigade in the South of the map in the M14 area. You are to then meet up with the air group being deployed from the Himalaya Naval Group on the East Side of the map and hunt enemy Gaws. Be sure to stay near our planes so you have some cover from enemy Dopps while you hunt.
Thierry Mersault- You will be coming in with the 87th in the northeast corner of the map. You are to stay near the initial deployment zone in order to help protect the bombarding Big Trays.

Jojo will probably do something crazy

i – Din - Move to H10 and drop Seth Yamanu and Jarvis Ackart
j- Horus’ Bait – Move to E10 and drop Aurem Senaiha and Arianna Elvy Saoirse
