"Check your weapons, fuel, and ammunition. You never know if those Zakus will show back up." Patrick barked ordered to the last GM pilot of his mobile suit unit. He was quickly answered by their silent obedience to his command. The last member of his team begin to check all essential supplies to his suit. The original plan was abandoned when a Zaku unit ambushed Patrick and his team as they made their way away from the Ogre. It was frustrating to Patrick to see that the Zeon forces were so defiant even when they were clearly outnumbered. Then again he wasn't really all that surprised. He remember how proud of a a people all Zeon soldiers thought of themselves after Lourm. They were all proud killers to him now.
"All ammo and fuel supply checked Lieutenant." The GM pilot answered. Patrick nodded as his GM Command made its way slowly to the twisted and mangled corpse of a Zaku that was defending one of the Zanzibars he had attacked at the beginning of the fight. Its armor had been warped from when it exploded into a fireball after he hit it with his beam gun. On further inspection, Patrick took notice of the open cockpit door of the Zaku. Inside of the mobile suit corpse the bloody remains of the pilot floated around inside the cockpit. The terrified look that it had died with was frozen in time as it floated lifelessly about in what was left of its blood.
"Poor wanker tried to escape the fire by running out into orbit." Patrick commented. The GMs from his unit approached from behind and observed the wreck.
"Dumb bastard. He was dead from the start, he was just going to burn up in the atmosphere." The two GMs made their away from the wreck. Far off in the distance beam cannon fire traced across the orbit landscape between both fleets. More explosions and flames erupted on Zeon and Federation warships as they traded fire back and forth between the two. "Think we are going to win?" The GM pilot asked Patrick. Patrick could sense the doubt in his voice.
"We will mate, Its just Zeon doesn't want to accept that it has been defeated." The GM Command turned to face the lone GM in the unit. "People always do irrational things when they are dying, the only thing we can do as soldiers is kill every Zeon pilot we come across as quickly as possible so we can bring this battle to a close." The GM Command turned back and looked out upon the battlefield. His mind was filled with thoughts of the wounded that were on board the Sulafat before it had exploded. "God damn that Char Aznable." Patrick mumbled to himself as his GM Command floated amongst the debris of the Kergeren. Flames begin to emerge from the hull of Penguin far off in the distance.
"It doesn't look to be long for this world sir." The GM pilot commented. The flames stretched out far beyond the source and almost touched surrounding war vessels. Seeing the Zanzibar on its death bed brought a smile to Patrick's face. He knew that the Penguin participated in many resupply runs for Zeon, and now it was moments from its own death. Toward the northeast, beam rifle streaks could be seen far in the distance along with muzzle flashes from machineguns. From his current vantage point he could not make out what was going on, but in his gut he had a terrible feeling everything was not going well. Patrick opened up a comm link to the Intimidator.
"Give me a sitrep Lieutenant." Patrick urgently demanded. Reed's face finally appeared on screen.
"It appears the Red Comet survived the MIRV warheads." Patrick grinded his teeth together in frustration. "The Boss Borat was destroyed by him as well." Reed followed up.
"If it isn't one thing its another." Patrick responded as he looked down to gather his thoughts quickly. He somehow knew The Red Comet and that Dom variant wouldn't go down willingly he knew he had no choice but to go with plan B. "Reed, you know what must be down, we prepared for this possibility." Patrick looked back up at the monitor Reed nodded and saluted Patrick.
"I'll see to it Lieutenant Foley that Plan B goes through exactly as you designed it." Reed smiled as he looked back at the mobile suit team preparing to launch from the deck of the Intimidator. Yazan Gable extended his arm out of his cockpit to give a thumbs up gesture before he closed the cockpit door.
"We've lost a lot of people today Reed. Avenge their loss." Patrick closed the comm link as he tossed his spent beam gun away and pulled a flash grenade from his shield and prepared for another round of battle against Zeon forces.
