Ok I have no clue who will be a officer for the EFSF after all of this is done. I'm sure Nader will be promoted so I will leave this here for him to see when he is a officer. On top of that I have no ideal if Nuke will stay with us because of school and all. So I hope I am not alone again after all of this
Any ways I would like to hear you ground pounders opinions.
Ok since the new shop stuff has been added and prices have been knocked down us peeps in space have a little more wiggle room interms of what we can build. Here are my thoughs on Space Force ships and suits below.
Salamis- This was the backbone/weapon of choice for us and it worked fine against Zeon forces. In its standard form we could get the job done with it. It shined most when it had been refitted either to a Kai or a Revised. The Kai was sweet because we gave up a little firepower in order to carry 5 mobile suits in to battle. So technically we gave up little in order to have more mobile suits to do the job for us.
The Revised... Just like a standard Salamis exept with more guns and better AA assets and it is a beast with all those wonderful missiles. Wih reseant deduction in prices the Salamis in any of its forms is still very attractive and it will remian the bulk of our forces. The only one version of the Salamis that is up in the air is the Revised mainly because Magellans have come down in price so they are now looking good at this point. Right now Zero-0 and myself have concluded we will buy Revised Salamis ships only if we are tight on money.
Colombus- Well these will continue to have a big role in our fleets. With the reduction in price these will continue to be sweet carriers to have. The saberfish rush is hard to beat and Zero-0 and myself are thinking of trying more GMs+Colombus combos to overwealm Zeon Forces.
Magellan- Well we haven't purchased any of these yet because of price and the Salamis was doing just fine. Now that the price has come down I am begining to consider at least one to the fleet. The EFSF is now making enough that we could buy one of these a week. I'm more focused on a standard Magellan then anything else. A Kai could come into the equation at some point. I'm not impressed with the Revised it just seems to not offer enough. I'm holding out for a Magellan II. That holds my interest.
Gray Phantom- Well we had a Peg at the begining of the rpg as a prize. I think Altoh won one if I remember correctly. It lasted us quite some time because of its bad ass armor and speed. The only draw back to the production model in the shop is the price
. However we make enough that we could net one of these things every 2 weeks. The problem with that is we would leave ourselves little wiggle room in case we are attacked by Chan and we need to rearm the fleet. Right now we are holding off on one of these things at least for a week or two after the rpg restarts.
Publics- Well they are nothing fancy but they do their part. Having the ability to fire anti-beam warheads without a pc controlled ship around is pretty cool. So these will continue to have a role.
GM- Awsome suits. We will use these in large numbers. They are good enough for the job and the price is nice for what they are. They are good enough to keep up with most Zeon suits while still being cheap enough to field in large numbers.
GM E- The performance of these are good but we are staying away from them. They don't offer enough performance to justify the price so we are keeping away from these.
GM Command- Well the performance is good and they carry a more potent beam weapon. The price is a bit steep. I suppose we could consider these for small numbers to act as shock troops.
Guncannon MPT- Same as above with the addition of two cannons. These may be used in the same matter with attention to less mobility and speed.
Saberfish- They are still cheap enough to afford in large numbers and when you swarm enemy ships or enemy mobile suits in support of friendly mobile suits they are nasty.
Ok that was the EFSF military doctrine plans for after Odessa of what I figure we will use against Zeon forces. Not much difference from how we have been fighting chan and using units. I'm taking in to account we will take advantage of the Magellan and Gray Phantom ships this part of the rpg to. Opinions? Does it sound right?
