Surprise, we have an update today!

Because both the ‘A Team’ and ‘G-force’ are in the West Arctic, the 87th Integrated Fleet will be going on Overwatch today. I would love to attack but we are outnumbered MS-wise so we have to be sure that we are not in a position where their greater numbers can overrun us and exploit gaps in our defenses, this is especially a concern given their subs and MSM. If on Overwatch, we should do pretty well. I’ll be sending in an overall strategy defensive strategy for those of you who care to follow it. I’ll post it later, but it shouldn’t be that surprising.

42nd Brigade people, I don’t know what you’ll be doing so Jojo will have to handle that.

Here is the 87th's Defensive strategy for those of you who are interested. It's pretty basic.

Defensive Strategy for Overwatch:

Location: Fleet will assume a defensive position far away from the coast (Somewhere near the Canadian Rockies perhaps) to protect against Zeon Submarines and MSM.

Weather: West Arctic- Snow Storms

Weather Effects: Limited visibility, aircraft can only operate well above the storm. Enemy Dodais should not be very effective.

Air Strategy: Allied aircraft, will stay above the storm and protect the allied Medeas. They will also refuel at the Medeas, if necessary. Should the enemy Gaw appear, our aircraft will mount an attack run so that Scott Archer in the Core Booster will have a chance to shoot at it. Primary objective is the defense of allied Medeas.

Ground Strategy: Ground units will assume a defensive position hopefully with their backs to some natural structure, like a mountain to guard against being flanked. Because we should not be moving, our Type 74's should be able to clearly determine the location of enemy Zeon advance so that the allied Big Trays can begin to fire in that direction. PC and NPC Units (MS and tanks) will take up appropriate defensive positions with our GM CCT's having a strong advantage due to the weather. Our units should have firing positions on all possible areas of Zeon advance as well as being able to quickly move to other areas that are in need of support.

Those who are in the 42nd we will be attacking the ZMF Earth Resupply Fleet today. Here is the basic plan, we start off the engagement with heavy bombing against the fleet from high altitude with our depp rogs, this will cause them to want to find the source of the fighters and push an attack against them. This means we can lie in wait for them to attack us and setup a trap near the shore with our mobile suits. Thorvald you shall be in the dodai II and rape stuff from the sky everyone else is with the aqua mobile suits that are laying the trap for the Gallops that will try to go after the himalaya. Aurem you will be on the deck of the LLG blasting stuff at range with Arieta leading the ground forces. Kyle Slater leads the beam team against the lvl 7 Dom.

Changed it up a little, but here is my email:

Purchase:
1 x GM CCT (Aurem's MS Team): 160 RP
RP Remaining: 190 - 160 = 30 RP.

Attack:
42nd Brigade -> Attack ZMF Earth Supply Fleet

Plan:
Depp Rogs lead by Thorvald on his Dodai II will start off the attack by bombing the supply fleet from high altitude, first target are the RP carrying craft. This will likely cause them to want to engage the LLG to get at the source of the bombings with the Gallops. A trap shall be set near the shore with the land based mobile suits hiding inside an urban town near the shore, while the LLG is off shores a short distance. Aurem shall snipe from the LLG at the incoming Gallops, Arieta shall lead the rest of the mobile suits into battle. Thorvald's task will be to get the lvl 7 dom while Kyle Slater's MS team shall concentrate on the rest of the zakus. The Fly Mantas and close support aircraft are to wait to engage till the trap is sprung as well. The infantry in the 42nd shall attempt to storm the Hogan once the trap has begun, led by Kyle Webb and 42nd Brigade's first platoon.
