"Back again" Charles quietly announced to himself.
It'd been atleast a month sense Charles was last at Belfast Base. Like the Great Wars of the 20th century, Ireland and neighboring Britain were a powerful foothold to the Allied Forces combating the Axis Powers split only by a body of water, and even in the Universal Century this rung true for EFGF against Zeon.
Belfast, quite simply, was the best stronghold the EFGF had when the Zeon's Blitzkreig hit Odessa and neighboring Eurasian nations, with otherwise small pockets of resistance being present. Now, several months later, Europe was almost in complete control of the EFGF with the tables completely turned on Zeon.
The Terrestrial War wouldn't last much longer Charles thought.
It occurred to him however that Zeon still held Africa, Parts of Australia and other fortifications or base equivalents. There was still a long road ahead and Charles was ready for what came at him.
With the MS team reunited of Diana, Willis and now a new guy named Keiji, Charles MS team would probably be deployed to a front line somewhere along with the rest of the 87th. While not too much to worry about it did give an unnerving sensation that would shake if not poke at the confidence of any soldier.
Confidence was a strange friend.
