Mobile suit designers at Zimmad, Zeonic and Pezun are working on competing contracts for the Duchies new line of high performance mobile suits, designed to be equal to or superior to the Federations GM Sniper II and Gundam models. The duchies officers are to give their preference, based on the specifics of each new unit and their own experience fighting the Federation in the field.
Below is a brief description of each new unit.
Competitor #1: Zeonic Company's Gelgoog
The most expensive of the competing models, the Gelgoog is very fast and maneuverable, and well armored. It arms head vulcans, a beam rifle, beam saber and shield, giving it an excellent and well rounded armament. In addition, the Gelgoog design is modifiable, able to be refitted into Cannon or High Maneuverability variants.
If Zeonic is chosen, the following units will be added to shop 5: Gelgoog - 400 RP
Additionally, the following units will be joinable: Gelgoog, Gelgoog Ground (TAF), Gelgoog Jeager (MAF), Gelgoog Marine (SAF), Gelgoog Marine Commander (SAF Officer), Gelgoog Commander (Officers), Gyan (Test Pilot), Galbaldy Alpha (Test Pilot)
All Gelgoogs and Gelgoog Commanders can be refitted to Gelgoog HMT or Gelgoog Cannon. This costs additional 50 and 70 RP respectively for NPC Gelgoogs.
Competitor #2: Zimmad Company's Gyan
The least expensive of the competing models, the Gyan does not use a beam rifle, and is designed primarily for short range combat. Its physical power and close range weaponry exceed that of the Gelgoog, but it is not designed with fire support in mind. Zimmads design philosophy is to have Gyans work in tandem with Doms and Rick Doms, the Doms providing fire support while the Gyans provide close range power.
If Zimmad is chosen, the following units will be added to shop 5: Gyan - 300 RP
Additionally, the following units will be joinable: Gyan, Gyan Ground (TAF), Gyan Krieger (MAF), Gyan Marine (SAF), Gyan Marine Commander (SAF Officer), Gyan Commander (Officers), Gelgoog (Test Pilot), Galbaldy Alpha (Test Pilot)
All PC Gyans and Gyan Commanders can be refitted to Gyan HMT or Gyan Cannon.
Competitor #3: The Pezun Projects Galbaldy Alpha
The Galbaldy Alpha is very similar in design to the Gelgoog, sporting vulcans, a beam rifle, beam saber and shield, and having speed, maneuverability or armor exceeding Federation high performance units. The Galbaldy Alpha also arms an additional pair of missiles in its shield. However, it has been dumbed down in terms of options as a cost cutting measure. It is less expensive than the Gelgoog for similar performance, but cannot be refitted.
If Pezun is chosen, the following units will be added to shop 5: Galbaldy Alpha - 350 RP
Additionally, the following units will be joinable: Galbaldy Alpha, Galbaldy Commander (Officers), Gelgoog (Test Pilot), Gyan (Test Pilot), Galbaldy Beta (Test Pilot)
Rules:
One of these polls is going up in both the Zeon and Zeon Officer forums. Each player may vote in each poll. When shop 5 goes up, the choice with the highest number of votes from both polls will win, meaning officers get to vote twice, more or less. I will be voting for the Gelgoog in both polls, to represent a canon attraction towards it in the military, but that shouldn't reflect upon your decisions.
In case of a 3 way tie or a 2 way tie involving Gelgoogs, Gelgoog will win. In case of a 2 way tie between Gyan and Galbaldy Alpha, Gyan will win.
You will only be allowed to vote once, so it may be best to discuss things before voting.
