most I've gotten was 3, but I had to have it on power saver mode and it moved pretty slow then.

I have one of the 1500 series which is just a smaller processor and a different keyboard layout but if you rework some of the crap registry stuff on power saver you can get along the high side between three and four without too much problem. I'd watch streaming movies with weak stolen wifi while i was out traveling the past two months.
