"Here's your room, I hope you like it. We don't have much else" the soldier who showed her the way said.
Olivia turned to him, wrapped an arm around his shoulders and said "Thanks, couldn't ask for more" and after a pat on his back, she walked through the door, and stared at the barren room.
She had thought she'd gotten used to it, the barren rooms, the new faces, the new ship. Olivia reminisced about the days when good bye only meant until tomorrow, and a buck could get you everything you want. She reminisced about her family, her father who would teach her to love all art, from visual, musical, to martial. Her Mother and her pride, and strength as a person.
As she thought about her family, she remembered the most important things that her parents taught her.
She had learned to be relaxed, calm and to not take life so seriously, it has a 100% mortality rate, from her father. From her mother, she learned to be assertive, but loving, protective, but not doting.
Olivia looked up, dropped her stuff, and walked out of the room. She asked the first person she saw, "who is the most respected person you can think of?" the person gave Olivia a very confused look, and responded "Lieutenant Colonel Veronica Wu" Olivia walked away with a smile, I want to meet this person.
