Technical and Historical Data A new generation of warship, the Alexandria marks the Federations final admittance that its old policy of gigantic battleships bristling with gun emplacements are outdated in modern warfare. It is the mobile suit carrier that reigns supreme. The Alexandria is a fairly large ship, with an impressive 12 mobile suit hangar compliment and 4 launch catapults, allowing it to speedily deploy all of its units even in comparison with Pegasus class cruisers. A few Balls can still be stored underneath the hull for point defense. She mounts a reasonable weapons capacity as well, with ten mega particle cannon turrets and a host of antiaircraft gun emplacements. However, the Alexandria cannot stand in a head to head fight with a Magellan or a Birmingham, forced to use its mobile suits to win battles for her. Only one Alexandria is currently in service, a prototype designed at 5th Luna.
