Technical and Historical Data
For one reason or another, Zeon's military establishment decided to award the contract for a high performance atmospheric fighter to MIP and its highly unorthodox Dopp. Beating out the more conventional fighter designs from Zeonic Corporation and Zimmad, MIP proved once again that sentiments in the Duchy's top brass resided in domestically inspired, if somewhat peculiar, designs.

Of course the Dopp would not have won its maker a lucrative contract if it too did not deliver in terms of performance. While it is not as aerodynamically sleek as the Federation's Tin Cod and as a result is limited to a lower top speed, the inherent instability in flight offered by the Dopp's unusual lift surfaces makes it extremely sensitive to even the slightest of inputs. This translate to a rather nimble aircraft with superior turning ability to the Federation's Tin Cod or Jet Core Booster. Tempered only by the fuel guzzling nature of its high performance engines which impairs its ability to conduct extended sorties, the Dopp is a formidable aircraft.
