Technical and Historical Data Realizing that Minovsky particles were disrupting the ability to send long range transmissions, some regional Federation commanders relied on the Dragonfly to send messages in the opening days of Zeon's Earth drop operations. Originally intended as a personal craft for officers in remote locations that may not have proper airstrips, the Dragonfly's STOL (Short TakeOff and Landing) characteristics fit the bill perfectly. As time went on, more efficient methods of long range communications were eventually adopted and the Dragonfly again found itself relegated to an obscure status. Many found their ways into third parties that were all too ready to retrofit them to their whims.
