Technical and Historical Data An archaic holdover from the days before the foundation of the Earth Federation, a handful of Everest-class battleships improbably remain in service with the terrestrial arm of the Earth Federal Forces. Though superceded in most aspects by aircraft and smaller, more modern destroyers, the Everests have been tenaciously preserved by certain interests within the EFF in the name of providing for fleet defense and supporting amphibious operations. In spite of being nearly 180 years old, the vessels have been continuously upgraded over the decades and should not be considered obsolescent as a vintage ship of that period would assuredly be.
