Technical and Historical Data In the final weeks of the war a small number of GM Commands were retrofitted for use by extremely skilled pilot officers. Pilots like South Burning were given the dozen or so models that were produced, and used them to great effectiveness in Operation Star One. The GM Command Kai was similar in many ways to the original GM Command model, however the modular backpack design was removed in favor of a more expensive multi-theater thruster design. The reactor was additionally increased, giving the Command Kai the capability to use a full powered beam rifle. The original assortment of vulcans, beam sabers and machineguns were retained. Finally, the GM Command Kai was one of the few models to be given the original Gundams Learning Computer data, analyzed by Federation scientists at Jaburo. Although it required an incredibly expensive microprocessor assembly to utilize this data, the Learning Computer is able to study enemy units and identify movement patterns, top speeds and etc, and makes minor corrections to pilot maneuvers and aiming to take advantage of this data. This creates a sort of symbiosis between pilot and machine, the longer a specific pilot uses his GM Command Kai, the better both he and his mobile suit will perform. Image Gallery
