The somewhat clumsy and confusing Gouf weaponry was all but removed, including the finger machineguns and odd heat "rod" tentacle weapon. In their place the Gouf Custom was given a powerful arm mounted gatling, and an E-whip that could deliver an electric pulse straight into enemy systems, perfect for disabling units at short range. The E-whip also doubled as a magnetic grappling hook, making it great for ensnaring enemies. The Gouf Customs shield was also given an overhaul, with a huge gatling cannon attached to the frame, although this weapon was admittedly a little topheavy and clumsy. This was all rounded off by the signature Gouf heat sword, making the Custom a deadly model for hand to hand combat. Finally, a prototype armor system was installed on the Gouf Custom, a rather expensive Beam Resistant coating material. This material was somewhat effective at deflecting beam weapons fire, but as it required gold as one of the primary elements of manufacture, it was deemed too expensive for future use. |
