Technical and Historical Data Normally attached to the hull, the Magella Attack Tanks turret can be jetissoned for a brief period of time to operate under thruster power. This "Magella Top" is an eccentric design and not really much of a combat weapon. Without firing its main gun it can only stay airborne for a little under a minute, and one shot from the 175mm cannon throws it off balance so quickly that it almost immediately crashes. Magella crews can jetisson the turret when the tank has suffered severe damage to fire one last shot however, and expert units have been known to detach the top to gain a bit of altitude to look over cover for recon purposes before landing back onto the tank body.
