Technical and Historical Data Towards the end of the One Year War, Zeon was faced with the prospect of simply running out of steam. While many incredible mobile suit designs were in the works, they were all too expensive and too high performance to be practical. Well trained pilots were a luxury amongst field commanders, and the draftee ages were getting younger and younger. In some instances multi-million dollar Gelgoogs were being sent out with untrained sixteen year olds in the cockpit. In order to provide some sort of a stopgap measure, Zeon picked up on the Oggo contract from MIP. A mobile pod similar to the Federation Ball, the Oggo was similar in overall performance, but had a number of distinct advantages. It was extremely cheap and comparatively very easy to pilot, making it perfect for new recruits. It also had integrated targeting systems that allowed it to use outdated Zaku weaponry, of which Zeon had in abundance. After the war a number of Oggos remained in service, mostly as rear line defense of Side 3 colonies. Image Gallery
