Technical and Historical Data
In the modern era, if you see a giant man-esque behemoth in front of you, or even a jet fly over head, there's most likely a man (or even two) inside, flicking the switches. Though their specialty lie solely in the machine they work, and sometimes sleep, in, they are generally trained in basic hand-to-hand and small-arms combat.

Armed with little more than a combat knife and pistol, these men and women won't just give up once they're shot down like most expect. Many will continue fighting, despite the odds, or regroup with other downed pilots to form an exit-strategy.

Veterans of the One Year War are probably some of the most oddly-trained, gruff sons of guns you could ever meet on the battlefield. And though the war had high costs, there are still plenty of them around. Even green recruits, when cornered, could get off a lucky shot.
