The last encounter was not kind of Terra the giant wolf. A wound trailed down her hind leg, where a knife had been thrown. Her feet had been strained by the snares. But most of all, her head carried the dull pain of a shovel strike. The wounded wolf walked slowly around, looking for an easy meal. The game was starting to return to the farms with the death of so much of her brethren - but with the condition she was in, they all fled before her arrival. She walked towards a tree, hoping to rest and recover her strength. A familiar catch wound itself around her front leg, aggravating an already serious injury. A snare! She fell to the floor, easy prey for her hunter. Dismas Agamemnon, saddled, charged atop his Chocobo, leather armor about his torso and a wolf pelt on his shoulders. Charon held down the wolf with a leg, while the cavalryman swung down to deliver a killing blow. Only to be met with teeth. Terra grabbed the scythe in her mouth, drawing her own blood out, then throwing it away. The giant wounded wolf was in a rage, pouncing atop of the Chocobo and binding Dismas to the ground with her giant paws - the emearld in her forehead glowing all along. "Any last words, human?" the wolf growled. "Just one. Kweh." Charon's beak bit into the back of the wolf's neck, a classic canine killing move. With her spine severed, Terra exhaled her power, the emerald going dim. Dismas crawled out from under her and retrieved a woodcutting axe from his travel pack. After about a half hour, the job was done. Dismas lifted the emerald into the air - it'd make a nice centerpiece for a sword. "THE FARMS ARE FREE!" Outcome: Dismas Agamemnon is triumphant. Dismas Agammenon: Terra Emerald, (Lvl3 Craft, Melee), Giant Wolf Pelt (Lvl3, Armor), 3 Wolf Jerky (Food, HP) |
