Old Man Jenkins lied in the gutter battered and bruised from his recent encounters with Ball Punion. He was drifting in and out of consciousness and he knew he needed to heal himself. He had managed to gather enough energy to crawl out of the ditch in the side of the road and make his way to the store. Each step felt like it was a mile.

After what seemed like hours Jenkins had finally had it to a store. It would soon be dark so he limped into the store and saw they had food but realized he didn’t have the money to pay for it.

He asked the store-hand, "could I possibly get a loan on some food ill gladly pay you back once I'm back on my feet"

The store-hand looked at the deranged old man in a mix of disgust and fright, "Sorry son we only give grain to people who have the money to pay for it."

Jenkins responded, "I have 9 silver right here can I just give you this and give you one silver after I’m well enough to travel back and get my things in the village, (he looking around fidgeting) I could give you one of these books there magical you know."

The store-hand stood strong on his stance, "Sorry son if I was to give you the grain and don’t receive the money what would make you come back to see that I received the rest of my payment. Look now son we don’t take your fancy magical word books and if you don’t have any money to by anything I'm gonna have to ask you to leave."

Jenkins became desperate he knew he needed food fast. He had an idea, "Alright sir do I have in my possession a bear that is quite business savy. Not only is he a seasoned fighter, he is also well trained in store management and product sales. If you give me two pounds of grain I will give you this bear."

The store-hand was intrigued, "so your telling me that not only is this a bear, It’s a bear that can help me around the shop."

Jenkins replied "Yes sir that’s what im telling you."

The store-hand finally caved, "You know what son I have to see this, you got yourself a deal if you bring in that bear, ill go grab the grain."

The store-hand returned with the grain only to not see a bear in his store. "Hey now son I got the grain where’s the bear."

Jenkins grabbed the grain out of the store-hands hands and began to stuff his face. He ate the grain so fast that the store-hand didn’t have time to realize what had just happened.

"Son did you just eat all that grain that quickly"

Jenkins replied as he walked out the door "Thank you sir for you hospitality the bear you seek is yours but I left him back in the village. Your more than welcome to go get him I believe I left him outside of the Closed Gardens in town he shouldnt have gone anywhere."

The door slamed shut and in a few seconds Jenkins disapeared into the shadows of the night. The store-hand stood there still in disbelifs that the old man had eaten the grain that quickly.

"Im gonna kill that son of a bitch if i go into that village and theres no bear"
