It was a terrifying day in the farms, even more terrifying than previous days had been. Two armies were gathering on opposite sides of a field: around the grain silo gathered the mighty Herd of Buffalo that had been terrorizing the farmlands all day and to the south was assembled an even large force of smaller animals, the Legion of Foxes that had terrorized Eco's bank recently. The two armies were now poised to clash for possession of the precious grain inside, a vital resource that could mean the difference between power and poverty for the participants of the battle. The buffalo scraped their hooves through the grass, ready for a fight, while the foxes talked amongst themselves, preparing a plan of attack. "YOU SUCK!" the spokesman for the legion said, shaking his furry paw. The buffalo brayed loudly and lowered their heads for a charge. More and more foxes stepped forward to hurl insults and light sparks of flame at the herd. The buffalo were patient though; they had the food and they could wait for the foxes to come to them. Suddenly, a fox laughed from behind the buffalo and set a burning stick beneath a buffalo's hoof. The herd's stalwart cohesion suddenly fell apart as they stamped about, trying to put out the hot foot. Saboteur foxes found themselves startlingly under foot and shrieked as they were kicked and gored. The legion sat and watched the bedlam with glee, cheering and hollering at the angry buffalo. To the herd's confusion, the legion suddenly turned around and left without fighting the climactic battle. A loud braying drew the herd's attention back to the grain silo. One of the buffalo was angrily looking at a crude picture: caricatures of several foxes stealing bags of grain.
