Dismas sat on the rocky earth, surrounded by the strange spoils of war he had acquired many of witch he could not understand. A mechanical bird that still works after it's defeated, though this wasn't the most strange, after all, ball punion had a similar vehicle. What puzzled Dismas was a smaller piece of machinery, the pulse laser. He turned it over and over in his hand, it was a firearm for all intents and purposes but there was no gunpowder or tension for a projectile. It had a trigger but his hair was already singed from trying it out once, and his companions were keeping their distance for that reason, Charon glaring at the weapon like it was a deadly snake. Dismas was however, intrigued, the weapon had the power of a high level spell but did not draw from his life force like other spells did. However, the machine was not letting it's secrets out easily. Dismas knew he would have to take it apart to understand it but that might also mean making it non-functional. Dismas was not able to make the decision for himself for Charon had, had enough of the dangerous object in his midst, and Dismas found the object snatched from his hands. Charon wasted no time pinning it to the ground and violently disemboweling the device. Having ripped the guts out, the Chocobo stood proudly over it's kill as Dismas came to examine the remains and start the process of repair, with Charon calmed he retreated to a small patch of grass and watched the more familiar site of Dismas constructing a weapon from the remains of something dead. Ugogh and dionysus, simple played a gambling game with matchsticks, oblivious to their surroundings and nursing the broken bones from their first encounter with the stormsworders. |
