"I hereby claim this village the new nation of Punation!" The declaration rang far and wide throughout the village, prompting the citizens to stick their heads out of their homes to see what was happening. Ball Punion, who had long since declared himself the rightful sovereign, was finally making good on that claim. The twin sounds of construction and deconstruction drew their attention as Punion's apprentices spread throughout the town, destroying buildings for the construction of his new castle. Most were too shocked to do anything, watching as the town Inn, the Gateway, and more were destroyed. Only the owner of the Best Defense was doing anything about the wonton destruction and even then only to protect his shop. Whelp and Sweeper jumped back as the incensed shop keeper, clad in his finest product, swung a blade at the pair. "Stay back, you currs!" he warned, waving the sword around. The two apprentices looked at each other and laughed, setting aside their lumber axes for more-potent weapons. The shop keeper lunged forward again only to fall face-first into Whelp's buckler and breaking his nose. Punion's minions took a moment to congratulate each other on the easy victory and went back to their axes, unaware that the shop keeper was still awake and gathering his merchandise into a sack. Within hours, all of the businesses in town had been razed and the brute squad had moved onto houses, conscripting townspeople into the construction of the castle. Some were able to flee before they were captured, but even more were forced to work. Once the great structure was completed, the remaining villagers were gathering into the town square where Ball Punion was ready to speak. "Citizens of the village, I have a great announcement! I, Ball Punion, have a nice new castle thanks to your hard work and as a token of my thanks have renamed the village Punation. Now let's end this historic day with a loud 'We love you, Ball!'" The citizens shuffled about uneasily until, after some prodding with the pointy end of a sword, they began to cheer. "We love you, Ball." "Louder." "We love you, Ball!" "Louder!" "WE LOVE YOU, BALL!" "That's more like it."
