It was a brand new day in Port Katherine, and a lovely day at that. The sun's rays reflected across the lake, filling the port with sunshine. The scent of fresh fish was carried by a cooling breeze that spread throughout the village. It was the grand opening of Katherine's Fish Market and she was hoping business would go well. Political tension was rising between Katherine and Punion and war was an increasing possibility. Would Katherine have to raise an army? Would she have to band together with the most unlikely allies to put a stop to Punation and its leader's expansion? The future was unknown. Katherine decided to think of other things. She took a stroll downtown, making her way through the port. There she saw the legendary Black Pearl with its black sails. Sarah was commanding her crew; ordering them to sweep the deck and polish the hull. Katherine came across a body laying on the ground. She went to inspect the body, which was obviously unconscious. Katherine then realized who it was. It was a craftsman who she had one of her servants pillage. "You kidding me?" she asked herself. "He hasn't moved in over a week?" Katherine kicked the body repeatedly until she saw some sort of reaction. The young craftsman slowly opened his eyes and stared directly above him to see Katherine looking down. "Wake up and make yourself useful! You have been passed out in my Port for a week now." commented Katherine. |

Striker felt the nudges against his body but he was too weak to respond like he would have. He heard a females voice calling out to him. He slowly opened his eyes to see a woman standing over him. he then began to speak with the strength he had left. "Apolgizes madam, I would move off of your street if I was able to but a recent raid on my facilities have left me wounded." Striker being the knight that he was was apolgizing for his weakness. Normally he would of given his raiders a decent fight, but that was no the case. By sheer force fo willpower he continued to speak, the displaced knight would need allies of his own if he is indeed to be living out the rest of his days in this strange place. "Madam if you can offer a bit of kindness into healing my wounds, I could offer you my services as a craftsman and as a warrior." Striker said as he is basically willing himself to stay awake. |

A smile appeared on Katherine's face as she considered his offer. The stores of Port Katherine could use additional wares and there was a lack of craftsmen around. There was also no harm in gaining a knight to help defend her port. "Very well. I will aid you. We will discuss details in my fortress." replied Katherine. She then issued a hand gesture to the nearest town guard to come forth. She ordered him to carry the wounded craftsman to the dining room of her fortress. In the kitchen, Katherine's chefs worked on preparing a catfish feast for the malnourished craftsmen. Some Blackheart Rum, a Port Katherine specialty, was poured for Katherine and her guest. "How do you find your meal?" asked Katherine. Edited by Nomad, Oct 17 2011, 12:32 AM.

Striker nodded his head at the woman's offer. He then felt someone picking him off of the street, Moments later he was in the dinning room of a fortress. he was sat in a seated position. he aroma of what was being cooked filled his nostrals. He then saw the food being layed before him and started to eat... as respectfully as possible. "The meal is quite good Madam." Striker Stoped for a while and leaned back. Looking like he wanted to discuess the arrangements with the woman. "Now Madam, how would you like to proceed with our earlier exchange?" |

"While I hold the rank of Queen of Rivendell and Lady of Port Katherine, you do not have to be so formal. I am Katherine Lockheart, you can call me Miss Lockheart or Katherine. I don't care which." replied Katherine. "Your name was Striker? Right?" At the sight of his head nod, Katherine continued. "You offered to craft me equipment, and I will take you up on that offer. I will present to you a few things I will need crafted personally, as well as crafts that I also need to restock Port Katherine's shops with. You will be paid several gold pieces by the shops, depending on quality. As for your skills as a Knight, I could use another Town Watchman. I can offer you weekly pay and shelter for the job." explained Katherine. |

Striker looked at Katherine as he nodded. I will keep that in mind.... Katherine" Striker was not used to being so informal with a queen, to be honest he found it quite refreshing. His ears picked up on the puropsal from Katherine. Town watchman and being provided with a pay and shelter along for his crafts. Looks like he found a place in this world. "Katherine you have a deal. I will craft these and any items you and your shops need and I will take you up on the job offer for Town watchman." he raised up his glass for a toast. "I look forward to working for you." |

"That is great news, A toast to our arrangement!" Katherine exclaimed, raising her glass and then downing the rum in a very un-lady-like manner. "Now I am needed elsewhere; got shit to run. Your room is in the guards' quarters and if you need anything, do not hesitate to find me or one of my servants." Katherine added as she slid her chair out and stood up. She then left the room and headed to some sort of town meeting that was held at city hall. |
