Skirmish
Jonah Manning’s eyes scan the terrain in front of his mobile suit as he and two GM mobile suits search the area for Zeon mobile suits that were reported in the area. As he does this he goes over the plan that the commander of the Pegasus gave him to follow. To Jonah the plan seems sound but he really doesn’t have experience to really judge it. He listens to the two GM pilots talk quietly among themselves with only half his mind. His concentration is on the over grown road ahead of him on this mountain pass.
He sighs as he wipes an arm across his forehead to wipe the sweat building up there. He then hears the sound of a sensor contact. "Heads. We have something."
"Looks like a mobile suit contact but there is too much terrain around us to detect what it really is." responds a GM pilot.
The Gundam Unit 5 moves forwards towards the contact cautiously. Then Jonah curses as three Zaku II JC burst out from around a corner in the road and open fire. Jonah raises the GM Shield he is carrying and blocks the few shots the three Zeon mobile suits fire his way. Two of them are armed with Zaku machine guns and the other is armed with a magella top cannon and some missile pods on its legs.
The two GM mobile suits return fire with their beam spray guns. The blasts miss their targets and set the trees at the side of the road on fire. Jonah curses again and raises his gattling gun and begins to shower the enemy with bullets. Most miss but a few hit but deal any real damage.
"Sir, we need to start retreating." states a GM pilot as he begins to moves his mobile suit backwards.
"You’re right. Begin hopping." orders Jonah has he blasts his mobile suit into the air backwards.
Several curves in the road they come to part they where heading towards. Jonah starting to shake from the strain of the running engagement grunts as his mobile suit rocks as another heavy round slams into his shield. He then flees something in his head and moves his mobile suit to the side and his eyes grow wide as he spots a large bazooka round slam into the round where his mobile suit was standing seconds before. The gundam is slammed into the wall of the mountain pass from the explosion.
"Look out! We have a skirt in coming!" yells Jonah into his radio as he moves away from the wall and this time a round slams into his shield and he is thrown backwards as the shield shatters under the explosion.
Then as the two GM blast him, Jonah recovers and turns his back on the Dom and blasts around the corner. The four mobile suits are right behind but the find themselves under heavy fire as they round the corner find themselves facing a single tank and a Pegasus class ship in a perfect position and firing. The three Zakus are taken out quickly but the Dom’s heavier armor allows it to take more hits and allows it to fire a couple shots before it is also taken out. The rounds it fires strike the White Knight.
Inside the bridge Albert Cross nods with satisfaction as he watches smoke flow out the wounds in his ship’s hull but he knows his crew is responding expertly and he expects them to have everything under control quickly.
"Good job everyone." commends Albert as he sits back in his command chair.
Outcome: Zeon Mobile Suit Team destroyed.

Albert Cross: hull damage 3 days of repairs, 80 credits, Type 61 pilot upgraded to grunt, 200,000 credits
