Ranmaru was sitting in his office eyes roaming over the current situation.
Yes there were plenty of things that were going on. JOSH-A proved to be a success and that was something that had interested Ranmaru. A knock on his door caused his eyes to flick towards the doorway which opened without even his permission a squad of troopers rushing into the room and flanking the doorway causing the veteran soldier to reach for his shotgun.
"That won't be necessary Aluante," came a calm voice now as a he saw a superior officer enter. The man's pips designated him from the Command Branch though Ranmaru didn't recognize the unit insignia.
"Are the soldiers necessary?" Ranmaru asked blandly now as he narrowed his eyes gazing at the man in question.
"Only if you make them necessary," came the smug reply now.
"And how can I serve her Imperial Majesty's Empire today?" came Ranmaru's reply as he leaned back in his seat now all the more edgy as he froze when he felt a tingling go down his spine and yanked out his shotgun in trained reflex pointing it at the command officer who only gave a smile as he pulled the gun from behind his back and holstered it Ranmaru gazing at him with a frown.
"With our dear Watanabe Fuuka currently occupied in the Americas we need to find more potentially capable Newtypes so we can get more combat data for various projects," the man replied calmly now.
"The nine hells are you talking about?!" Ranmaru said standing his chair rolling backwards.
"There's been a lot of rumors amongst the troops that you have eyes on the back of your head and the devil's luck itself in the battlefield," the Colonel said directly now. "You see Captain I suspect you are gifted with something far more then luck...I suspect you are gifted with something that you could say could influence fate itself," came the purr now.
"And that is?" Ranmaru asked slowly.
"I believe you are a Newtype Captain, and I intend to test that theory, you will participate either honorably and willingly, or not and I drag you to a test facility in chains if I have to," came the sharp reply. "Who knows you may be lucky enough to survive and serve the Empire in a greater capacity then you think."
