'Akasuisei' would smirk as she board the Apsalus. It was already marked with a definitive 'I' bearing note to the future of the machine. She couldn't help put pet the shell of the lovely machine before leaping forward and into the large basin that would be the cockpit. The Oldtype was following suit, but in a more professional way. The teenager rolled her eyes as she prematurely activated what she could sensor wise alone. That led all too the main camera activating as her CO would be watching carefully. She'd only handled simulations before, and it wasn't like she was prepared for an actual battle just yet. It was somewhat vexing to be kept away from the real thing for so long, but that time was over. The girl would loook over her shoulder as the older man positioned himself into the co-pilot's seating, starting to activate the subsystems. All the vital things that 'Akasuisei' simply couldn't be bothered with in the middle of a combat situation. He'd mutter softly, in his simple, plain, rather boring, tone. "Minovsky Craft System functioning properly. Command has given the green. Hi-" His words were cut off as the girl relaxed into the situations as she pushed forward on the console, the Apsalus coming to life as it roared through the cockpit for a moment. The girl shook her head, scolding her co-pilot in her arrogant tone. "Itozuramono. Let us maintain the policy of call signs. We are fairly close to enemy territory, and they may intercept any communications we make." A pitiful excuse but it was there. After all, if she was ernest, she would barely recall the term Hime in relation to herself.

And the beast took flight. It would hover upwards in a shaky sort of path, but that was merely inexperience. Fuuka would tilt her head back in glee, before refocusing, as she gripped the controls tightly. "Simply rising isn't a test of our capabilities at all. Amazing though... it's really real. We are really able too fly through Minovsky particles. This is exactly why the Empire will always be the forefront of technology. Everyone else is feeding off of our scraps! Our left overs... this is proof, isn't that right, Hato?" The co-pilot refrained from commenting with anything else besides the green light to move off of Onogoro. And move it did, picking up speed rather easily as it was pushed forward with all it's force, Fuuka grinning from ear to ear as the burst forward and to the the sea. She wouldn't pay any more heed to the co-pilot behind her, after all, she had some orders, and the delight of piloting the test unit was beyond anything she could truly grasp. She'd left the base's field now, as she sighed softly, not caring that the comm was still quite on. Her CO's face appearing upon it as she exhaled in her personal glory. "Akasuisei, you will begin running trials. We have some men out there, and the Naval forces will maintain a track on you." To which the response would be no more than a simple "Hai."

The Apsalus would whirl in the air now, as it skidded across the sky, the girl simply feeling out the real controls. Without any simulations to guide her. It was different, but adjustable, especially for an advanced being like herself. She'd find herself casually running the machine through trials, as she approached the sea itself, letting the bottom of the machine rip into the water as she watched it's effect on her lovely Apsalus. "We should avoid that... seems like it'll be too easy to loose control." Of course, any designer would say the same. The flaw of this test unit was that it was only meant to be tactical reentry unity. Sea battles couldn't be it's specialty. The girl would let herself consider the impact this might have on the colonies, but for only a moment. As she closed her eyes a moment, a simple trial to assert her thoughts to the proper priorities. "We didn't hit anyone, right?"

"Where did that old fool land?" E-3 Nick Scryer wondered as he patrolled the warm pacific waters. A large mobile armor he didn't recognized nearly crashed into his Dodai, causing him to dump his cargo, the Zaku I and its pilot Scarth Maheart. In the waves below, he caught the site of a large mech desperately struggling to tread water.

"What are you doing?" Nick asked Scarth as he lowered the Dodai close enough to the water for his partner to climb aboard.

"Zaku-paddle. Any idea what hit us? I assume we're not under attack, less the rest of our forces are surprisingly slow to return fire." Scarth replied glibly, his Zaku grabbing hold of the Dodai.

"No. Empire signatures on the mech. Looks like it was just one of the test pilots joyriding again. I'm pulling up the records now, assuming they don't just 'block' my access again." Nick chuckled at memories of previous misfortunes due to rank.

Scarth didn't reply, now securely aboard the Dodai his Zaku was immobile, so too was the pilot. "Oh. Ancestors be damned. She's an officer, and part of the Imperial family." Nick mumbled, knowing full well his partners upcoming response.

Scarth opened a comm to Apsalus I unit. "A thousand apologies my lady. I did not mean to be in your path. I sincerely hope I have not damaged your unit or caused you any undue stress." Scarth stated, his head bowed and eyes staring at the ground of his cockpit instead of the screen.

The comm would be a full visual, showing the teenager's happy goo lucky expression as she witnessed Scarth's courtesy to her. The screen would show her hair floating up as her hat fell off, another man going to obtain it as soon as the hair fell down. The girl didn't say anything until after the quick process digesting the words to see how loyal they truly were. What Scarth and his partner would be certain to discover, should they even bother, they were both of higher rank than she, despite her status. The girl however didn't seem to be all too inclined to inform them of this fact, instead twirling her long hair through a finger as her hat was placed back on her head, and she signaled to Hato to gain the intel on that particular unit's registry.

"Ah..." "Maheart." "Maheart-san. I am glad to see that at least some form of respect for another still exists in this world. It is nice to meet you, I do hope I didn't damage your precious piece of Imperial assets. Hato's fault of course, his job is to inform me of such things. It's hard to get good help sometimes, you know? Even in the military."

The girl giggled happily as she did a quick once over of the old man. Attractive, no. Not even in a chiseled powerful way. So many of his features showed his faults. He was so... pitifully foreign. She wasn't cruel, she had no problem with gajin living... but she simply didn't enjoy seeing them, especially this close too Japan. It was rather depressing. However, the girl simply clapped her hands together once, ridding the distaste from her mind. "If you would like, Oji-san, I will be happy to tow you to Onogoro for a report and repair. It might have been glancing, but this is my personal machine, you are lucky to be intact at all."

Scarth visibly froze up at the offer. His mind raced with frantic thoughts. He did not wish to be a burden, especially since no noticeable damage was inflicted to his mech or his partner's. But, dare he refuse the request and insult a member of his master's family? Scarth's confusion started to build into a panic.

Nick noticed this and interrupted. "Sorry my lady. My partner here gets easily tongue-tied, especially around little girls." Nick smiled politely. Scarth broke his silence, cutting off his partner.

"No no. It is quite alright. We're finished on our patrol as it is. We can accompany you for the rest of your test flight, or follow you back to base. It is your call ma'am." Scarth tried his best to salute, typing a message to his partner with the spare hand.

Scarth: ""You called attention to her age, and made us both look like some form of sick pervert. We'll be lucky if all they do is execute us for that."
Nick: "And what about you volunteering for dereliction of duty? Our patrol's not finished."
Scarth: "Our duty is to the royal family, and that is her. You're a half-blood child of the Empire, you should know that."
Nick: "Go to hell."
Scarth: "I'm in no rush to see your harlot mother again."

Scarth's eyes shifted back to the screen, his aside texting to his partner finished.

"Little-" The girl blinked a moment. Clearly the term had affected her. She was indeed little, and far younger than the weird Oldtype. But still, she couldn't remember associating the term with herself. It seemed a bit awkward. She would inspect herself. Arms... tin, but certainly not little. Legs? Longer than her arms. Waist, it was 'good' to be little there. Was it a compli- Chest. The girl scowled a bit as she patted her chest slightly. How irritating, and her co-pilot clearly witnessed the chain reaction unfolding. Rather than get involved the man sighed softly before the girl regained control of herself, leaning on her console playfully as she stared directly into the comm, trying to pierce the man's eyes with her own fake colored ones.

"I see, well if your Zaku is still functioning. Then I suppose that screwing up my test flight needs to be repaid right? Hato...?" The man made a gesture of some kind behind the girl as the young pilot giggled. "Well then, it's all the better. How about you get on your Dodai and we do a quick bout. A recording of this precious in a conflict will help a lot more than just running circles, right?"

"Y-y-yes ma'am." Scarth stammered in reply, terrified of the complications of such a duel, regardless of success or failure. Sweat visibily formed on his forehead, and he began typing with his free hand once again.

Scarth: "Thanks Nick. Now what do we do."
Nick: "Kick the uptight bitch's ass, give her a lesson in humility."
Scarth: "First, that's treason. Second, I cannot harm a member of the royal family. Third, you know what happens to me during combat."
Nick: "That's why this'll be fun. You won't be able to stop yourself no matter what, and there's no backing out at this point."
Scarth: "Dick."
Nick: "At least I still have one."

"Very well, ma'am. Where and when would you like to begin? Any rules?" Scarth inquired. He knew his condition, and knew it was a pointless gesture to inquire.

"Rules? The girl giggled as the challenge was accepted, flying upwards with radical speed as the Apsalus began to climb into the sky. The change and G force was quick ripping, as the girl felt herself being smashed downwards into her seat. "I'll need to get used to that anyways... And the time and place right... Here and now!" The girl smirked through the comm as she let her hand switch on the combat priority, Level 2. Hato sighed again as he too recovered from the forces, more capable from having handled it before. "Right, combat begin, I guess. We should try not to break the Zaku, but this will be an opportune time to test the Minovsky Pulse." The girl nodded as the Apsalus would halt in the air, spinning about slowly as the girl grinned, feeling the rotation herself. "You heard the man! We'll begin right away!"
