The Hokage speaks! Team Kakashi attempts C Rank exam! The three Genin that made up team Kakashi stood in the reception area, anxiously awaiting their schedule meeting with the Hokage. Normally such a get together would have put smiles on any genin’s face, but right now the nerves were piled up. Were they ready for C-Rank Status? Akan thought so, but then again, if what he thought were true, he’d have been Hokage of the entire world. Pacing back and forth, the twelve year old went over their mission record as if that could somehow change the decision. “Calm down, what will be will be,” Ryuunosuke murmured, sitting serenely on one of the chairs near the entrance. Unlike his teammate, he was willing to accept the outcome of this mission. After all, it wasn’t like anyone would get hurt. “Though, come to think of it, where is Kakashi-Sensei, shouldn’t he be here?” “I think he said he needed to pick up some more of those trashy novels,” Yoshida Sachiko murmured, momentarily frowning. Kakashi was an interesting one at that, but what taste in books he had! Just when Ryuunosuke was about to reply, the receptionist looked up, giving the kids a soft smile. “The Hokage will see you now.” Immediately the three went rigid before nodding in unison, as if about to go into a combat area. Walking into his office, Sachiko felt a moment of pride swelling in her as she noted several of pieces of art dedicated to Konoha. No matter what the outcome, she was still a shinobi of the leaf, and that was more than enough reason to be happy, though by the looking at Akan, she doubted he shared that opinion. Face rigid and locked to the old man ahead, he looked more ready to chew through wooden planks than hear something bad. “Ah, welcome young shinobi!” Hokage murmured good naturedly, writing something on a scroll before holding it to his side. Out of the shadows, an adult ninja seemed to magically appear, taking the note and running out towards the exit. “Kakashi has informed me that you wish to take on C-Rank missions. Are you ready for my decision?” “Yes, Hokage,” Team Kakashi murmured in unison. “Very well.” Taking a momentary deep breath, the Hokage took a moment to give each of the genin a thoughtful look. “I am pleased by your progress since your graduation. You are well on your way to becoming truly fine Ninjas of the leaf. I think any town would be lucky to have you among their ranks.” “I feel the but....” Akan muttered under his breath. “But, I’m afraid that you are not yet ready to face the dangers that await missions of a C-Rank. Continue to train, and come back to me when you have taken on a few more missions, and I’m sure you’ll be approved again.” Then the old man smiled, bright enough to take the gloom out of the room. “Remember, never give up!” Down, the three genin left the Hokage’s office, only to find Kakashi lounging on a chair with a brand new smut novel open. Looking up with his uncovered eye, he thumbs another page. “How did it go?” “We’re not ready yet,” Ryuunosuke said with a curt nod. It seemed he was already over it. “I guess we have more work to do.” Standing up, Kakashi slipped his book under his vest before making a motion to the door. “I’ll treat you guys to ramen and then we’ll continue from there.” ~Outcome~ Mission Failed. Ambushing the ambushers! Team Asuma attempts Bandits! A small caravan was moving through a craggy area of plains north of Konoha. One wagon with a pair of horses, moving slowly and filled with supplies, with a group of four travelers tending it. They were unguarded, being old men and only armed with daggers. This merchant caravan looked like it had seen better days. It was mid-afternoon, and the sun was slowly turning a pale orange, glinting on the red rock of the crags and making the area look much more like a desert than it should rightly be. Shrubs littered the area and it was hot, and the merchants were probably quite miserable. To make matters worse, it was at this time that the bandits chose to attack. Part of a renegade group that operated a ways north and west of the village of Field, they moved swiftly in on horses, carrying bows, spears and large, Chinese style swords. They mostly wore turbans and the style of clothing you'd see in the country of Grass, and were all quite dirty. There were at least ten of them. One man, in a black turban, came out with two swords and looked at the group after they had surrounded the caravan. The old men had been caught unawares, although they wouldn't be able to do much of anything anyway. "T-t-take it all. Just spare us, please..." said the apparent leader, dropping to his knees and begging. The man in the black turban kicked him over, and pointed his sword at the rest of them. The sunlight glinted on the blade, as well as showing off the yellow color on his skin and eyelids. This man hadn't seen a shower in months, and looked very ready to kill anyone who said so. Much taller than your average person, he was covered in muscles. On his belt glinted three village of grass forehead protectors, each with the emblem partially scratched out. One of the old men trembled in anger upon seeing the protectors, he had lived in that country at one point. "That was the plan, gramps. Round up the wagon and take it back to the camp!" yelled the man. The rest of the bandits got to work, quickly turning the wagon around and moving it in the opposite direction. "If you get back to civilization, be sure to tell everybody your kind ain't wanted around these parts." said the bandit, jumping back on his horse, a large, black steed. Riding off, he caught up with the group and they slowly faded into the rippling air. It had been a bandit attack, much like many others recently in the area. Merchant caravans travelling between Grass and Leaf had been attacked by this group, and even with bodyguards the wagons were usually captured. The group, the Rising Suns, were trying to establish political freedom in the area, and wanted to show that they had the manpower to do it. The area was a bit more harsh than much of Konoha, but it was uninhabited, unlike much of the farmlands and countryside. At this point all it was used as was travelling grounds, the crags allowing for a number of cool, shade-covered streams to give easy passage through the hot, flat lands. This particular caravan, however, had been a little bit different. The four old men slowly looked at each other, waiting till the bandits were almost out of sight. Then with a nod from their leader, they all turned into puffs of smoke, four entirely new figures dashing off to catch up with the caravan. --- Later that night, Team Asuma had finally arrived at its target. The caravan had come upon the bandit village, an affair of about a dozen large tents, each probably housing several people. There were two tents larger than the others, one for the horses, and one for the leader of the group. There were several campfires, but in the dark and from their safe distance, no real details could be made out. "Hmm... Looks larger than I expected." said Asuma, taking a puff on his cigarette. Hotaru and Minoru were next to him, with Hitomi behind, trying to use his nose and ears to ferret out any information. They were all lying very low atop the crag, a good distance away. Even Hitomi couldn't make out any real information from here. "What do you want us to do, Asuma-sensei? We're safe here, but we can't attack from this position..." said Hotaru. Asuma looked at him and then slapped him on the back. "You want to get that black-hatted one, don't you. You'll get your chance, boy, best not to rush in." said the Jounin, smiling. "Well, what are we supposed to do?" said Minoru. He was shaking, this would be their very first actual battle as ninjas. "Well, this is your first C rank mission, isn't it. I want to see what sort of a plan you all can come up with." answered their teacher. "Ise, you may not look it but you're the best in the team when it comes to planning. You're in charge, the lot of you have two days to capture or kill the lot of them." Asuma grinned, taking a long drag. Standing up, he put his hands in his pockets and started walking the other direction. "I'll be around, so don't worry, I'll come if you guys get in trouble. Dinner's on me if you don't." ~Outcome~ Mission continues, participants may send emails to say what they want to do tomorrow. Minoru - no stamina damage Hotaru - no stamina damage Hitomi - no stamina damage The Sand assists the Leaf! Team Kurenai and Team Chiiyo attempt Counterspying Continuing with Team Hayate's job of the night before, Saskei, Jin and Mashiro were on the lookout, assisting the ANBU with spying in the vicinity of the Hyuuga compound. While the Anbu searched the rooftops, as was their way, the three of them were disguised as common townsfolk, watching the ground and talking via radios. There was a main road leading into the compound, as well as several back alleys, and all in all the three of them had the area decently covered. It was a good day, and about lunchtime, people were bustling around. The main road went for quite a ways without any real side roads, and its street was unusually wide. Townsfolk moved in and out, one of the most popular ramen huts in the area, the "White Noodle" was on a corner. Jin was stationed here at an outside table, disguised as a fairly fat man and eating free ramen. The owners of the shop were good friends with the Hyuuga, and understood the situation. Mashiro was disguised as a fortune teller, giving fake fortunes but actually making a small amount of money on the other end of the street, a little ways up the road. He had his back to an alley, but the way he was positioned let him quickly look over his shoulder without too much notice. People would walk by, ask him a question, he'd peer through his overlarge robes into a crystal ball, and then tell them what he thought they wanted to know. Kousei was also on this expedition, being decently good at spying, and it was his job to cruise the alleys. There were 8 alleys in all, usually places to put trash or for people on the houses in upper levels to move outside quickly, without interrupting the shops on the ground floor. Kousei flitted from alley to alley, watching for suspicious persons. At the end of the street was the main gate to the Hyuuga district, and there were a pair of Byakugan weilding guards. They couldn't keep their powers active for the entire day, but they still had better eyesight than your average man, and they were on alert. Merchants and visitors went to and from the gate, not having to give any identification or anything. They were only stopped if they looked somewhat suspicious. The guards could spot people using Henge easily, they were well trained at that. Watching the gate also was Saskei, who was somewhat of a third wheel in this mission. Not knowing Henge, he couldn't be on ground level, but was instead watching the gates from a window on the upper floor of a building. Sitting in a chair, he made sure the guards didn't miss a thing. Also assisting the group was Yamada Goro, who had, after some consideration, been allowed to go on the mission by the ANBU. At first they were not going to allow a foreign ninja to assist them, but Chiiyo had stated she and the Sand would accept any responsibility, and in addition, Goro had a trick up his sleeve that would prove quite useful. Sitting atop a roof in the center of the street, the thin, lanky boy sat down and produced a brown bag about the size of his torso from someplace or other. Taking out a pair of wooden balls, each about the size of his head, he put one in each hand and let them roll off opposite sides of the building. Throwing a hand out to either side and stretching his fingers, near-imperceptible blue wires caught on to each ball, which sprouted four legs from a bottom half of the orb. Each leg was tiny, with two joints, ending in a stub that had a small crease, probably where a weapon would be hidden. After he had activated his Spidercrabs, Goro closed his eyes, and the two puppets each snapped open a small, buglike eye to their front. Using the strings as a medium, Goro could see what the puppets saw, making them excellent tools for use in spying. He spoke into his own radio while he scanned up and down the alleys with Kousei. So far, it had been an uninteresting day. Kousei had gotten bored enough to use Henge himself and buy fortunes from Mashiro several times, who hadn't noticed anything more than customers who wouldn't pay. He wasn't really running a fair business, however, so it didn't matter. At least he'd make enough to eat a good dinner tonight. "See anything yet?" said Jin softly, munching on his ramen. He wouldn't need any free dinner. "Ehh, nope. I'm getting really cooped up in here. And if there's trouble I won't be able to get out in a hurry." said Saskei. He was fingering a kunai anxiously. "Well that's what you get for neglecting your basics, moron!" said Kousei, laughing. Jin stiffled a snicker himself, and Saskei immediately launched on the summoned prankster. "You ingrate monkey! I don't know why Jin ever takes you out of your hole! Shut up!" "HA! You're a good for nothing, skillless imbecile!" retorded Kousei. "Quiet, you three. I can barely hear myself talking." said Mashiro, trying not to blow his cover. A little girl with a bright pink kimono was asking for her fortune read. Behind her were two men who didn't appear interested, one in red and one in blue. "Hrm... Beware of... pots." said Mashiro, unable to think of anything. The rest of the team snickered a bit, easily able to hear over the radio. "Agh. Hey, Kousei, can you give me a hand, here?" said Goro, suddenly. The team became quiet, wondering what was up. "Yeah, sure thing boss, what is it?" said Kousei, mockingly. Goro didn't seem to mind. "One of my puppets fell into a trashcan and I can't seem to get him out. It's too dark in there to see. Front right alley. Can you take him out for me?" said the Sand Genin. "Everybody else should probably keep better watch while he does... We're sort of a man down." "Yeah, I'll be right there." said Kousei. Hopping on top of the roofs, he quickly scurried to assist the fallen puppet. Within a minute the spidercrab, stuck in a dumpster and covered in trash, had been freed. Kousei couldn't think of how it got in there. "You be more careful, weirdo." said the monkey, brushing off the spider. It made a little hop in the air and gave him a high five. "Yeah, I will. Thanks, man." answered Goro. With that, everybody went back to their normal rounds. What they didn't see, however, was that while Kousei had been away from his post, a very small figure popped up out of the ground, dashed over the complex wall, and jumped inside... ~Outcome~ Mission Complete? Goro - 6 temp stamina lost, 8 exp gained Jin - no stamina damage, 8 exp gained Saskei - no stamina damage, 5 exp gained Mashiro - no stamina damage, 8 exp gained Mission Start! Towards the Snow Country! Team Anko and Team Gai attempt Package Delivery The morning sky over Konoha was invisible, a thick mist covering the entire village. Such a sight was rare, and almost ominous, at least to the six Genin and two Jounin assembled outside the city gates. Team Anko and Team Gai, a rather interesting matchup, considering the makeup of the six Genin assembled. Ryley was somewhat happy, as the day was rather cold, and the sun wasn't out, and they were going places that were rather cold, where the sun wouldn't be out. She had also just finished her new jutsu, and wanted a chance to show it off. Hiromi, Toson and Kousotsu were all standing together, quietly waiting for their Jounins to finish talking. Hiromi and Zurui had just finished looking at Kou's garden, and had found a new sort of respect for the farmer ninja. Toson was just always quiet, even though Gai had softened him up a bit. Yasuo and Zurui were chatting a bit, figuring out what pranks they'd play while they were on the boat. The two schoolyard buddies hadn't talked in a while, and were making up for lost time. Anko and Gai were whispering off in the corner, next to a tree. Gai whispered a few things, then pointed at Yasuo, and Anko turned whiter than Ryley. Yasuo stiffled a snicker, and was almost about to laugh when the two Jounin snapped out of it. A few seconds later they were ready to brief their teams on the mission. It would be a very long mission, longer than most D ranks, and a very peculiar one as well. Many a thing could happen, and they wanted their squads to be prepared. "OK! Listen up you slugs, I'm going to be leading this mission and I want everybody to be looking sharp!" said Anko. Being a Tokubetsu Jounin she outranked Gai slightly, even though she'd never been able to beat him in combat. Gai hung back, looking all around in the mist, holding a green sack in one hand. The forest was very quiet, and the gate to the village looked strangely large today. "We're going to be travelling very far away, by sea, to the Snow country, and delivering that package Gai has to a Snow Jounin there. Now, it's almost expected that we'll run into trouble sometime along the way. It's a long trip several countries and a lot of dangerous territory, and it's a pretty sensitive package we're carrying. But, unfortunately, most of the Jounin without squads are on business right now, and it's such a long mission that the Hokage is having us take you all along. I want no horseplay, no disobeying orders, and if we get in combat, I want everybody to stay back unless we're up against small fry." Anko wasn't used to making speeches, and the Genin weren't used to hearing them. Everybody was starting to get a little uneasy, the possible exception being Ryley. She thought it was such a lovely day out, much like her homeland. "First thing we're doing is travelling Northeast to a small port town in nowhere Fire-country and hopping a boat to the Snow country. We'll spend one day at sea, and then two days in the Snow. This shouldn't be the hard part. Any questions?" Anko looked. None of the Genin said a word. Everybody was eager to get going, this would be the largest mission their class had undertaken thus far. "Alright, let's go, Konoha." said Anko, turning around and dashing off into the trees. The other seven ninja followed her. --- Their route was a long one, but pretty straight. Several hours through the forests of Konoha, still shrouded in mist, and then another few through the plains beyond, sloping down to the river, leading into the bay. They'd travel along the river a while until they reached the village of Port, where they would take a ship to the Snow. Very little talking went on during the trip, as Anko and Gai were both very intent on pushing their teams to their limits. They were running fast, along the ground, on top of trees, and the only person who could really keep up well at all was Yasuo. His Taijutsu training was showing, and he was nearing Akan and Kaado's ground in speed and hand to hand prowess. Kousotsu and Ryley brought up the rear, Kou going a little bit slow to make sure his plants weren't damaged, and Ryley not being the most physically inclined. At Anko's request, Zurui had sent Kikai tracers around the area to scout for traps, and although he didn't see any he was very busy communicating with his bugs. Little black flits would fly onto him as they ran, and he'd look at them for a few seconds before they would fly off again. He had just learned the trick recently from his grandfather, and even though the training from gramps was always gruelling, he knew the technique would pay off. He fiddled with the special tag in his pouch as well, not even quite sure what it did. The ninja passed through the forests of Konoha quietly and quickly. The woods were their usual, thick with huge, large limbed trees, making travel exceptionally easy. The only big difference was the mist, which made sight more than a good 30 feet away difficult. All the more reason for Zurui's bugs, but the usual scenery was lost on the travellers, something that disappointed Hiromi, who had been very eager to see the outside world in more detail. Toson was a little disappointed as well, as he wanted things to look at and think about, and the inwardness of the weather made him somewhat lonely. These thoughts were lost on Ryley and Kousotsu however, who were struggling just to keep up. Ryley loved the weather, but she couldn't really enjoy it what with all the running. There was a lot of running involved, and she was the least athletic ninja in the entire class. Even after a few hours she was getting very tired, and starting to breathe heavily. Gai was ruining her wonderful day, and if she had to slow the team down it would be bad for everybody. Kou saw her distress and offered her one of his canteens, which she accepted graciously, drinking as they moved. Yasuo was a little irked from his position in the front as well, not liking the idea of spending nearly a week with Gai and Anko. Especially on a boat. However, he had the best way to amuse himself possible, the crush. The crush had been so brilliant, and he'd get his chance to work an incredible amount of mischief on this trip. The team setup had been perfect. Forgetting his dislike for his trainer for a moment, the Genin looked inward, thinking out every mischievous scheme he could get his hands on. Zurui would probably be happy to help when he wasn't doing scouting work. It was in these spirits that the Genin teams made their way through the forests of Konoha, entirely without encounter. Reaching the plains, the river, and eventually the village of Port, they were entrapped in the thick mist the entire time. They quickly ate at a local fish house, and then boarded their ship, a small contraption the Hokage had ordered especially for them. It was made for about twelve people, but only had a working crew of three, a captain named McCallen, a short red haired man with more scars than you could count, and two gruff looking sailors named York and Kent. Kent was a skinny type, blonde and wiry, while York was large, larger even than Gai. The three had sailed to the Snow country many times, and the Konoha teams were in good hands. The eight of them tucked themselves away in the ships hold, all sharing a single room, which Anko and Ryley weren't very happy with. Luckily, this ship had a very spacious front deck, and would make for excellent training the following day. Once they were all ready, McCallen set the ship to sail, one large mast billowing softly in the slow wind moving the mists through the country. It almost seemed like it would travel with them. They would have a day to themselves on the boat, and then they would be in a strange new world, the country of Snow. ~Outcome~ Mission continues. Everyone recieves 1 days downtime for training or otherwise, email me with what you want to do. Ambush! Rain Nins Attack! ~Day two~ After a few hours out to sea, the crew was getting bored. Below decks most of the Genin sat, talking and going about their business. Gai had fallen asleep, while Zurui and Toson engaged in conversation and Hiromi sat in a corner. The three sailers were busy in the captains hold, steering the ship and watching out for any obstacles in the mist, which hung gloomily overhead. The only real action going on was Anko and Ryley, happily fishing along. Anko had bragged quite a bit about how she was a fishing champion, but had yet to catch a thing. Ryley had already caught four small fish, seeming to have knowledge of where they were based on the currents of the water. She didn't like showing off like this, but with Anko she didn't really mind. "Where did you learn to fish like that, anyway?" said Anko, looking up at the sky. "Oh... I'm not really fishing... You just know how I am with the water. I know where the fish are." said Ryley, smiling. The two of them looked at each other and giggled. "Hey, Ryley, Yasuo doesn't really have a crush on me, does he?" said Anko, leaning back. Her jacket moved open, showing her usually barely covered fishnetted chest, but it was just the girls there and it wasn't anything Ryley hadn't seen before. There was a light wind blowing, pushing both the ship and the mist towards the Snow ahead. "No, of course not. He's just trying to make Gai look stupid." said Ryley, laughing. She was having a good time talking with Anko, she'd never really had a chance to talk to a Jounin that was sensible before, although Anko could hardly be called sensible. She was better than the crazy man down in the hold, at least. "Ahh, I see. Well, maybe I'll join in. I always did love a good prank." said Anko, grinning. She laid back and looked up, and suddenly her eyes became very, very wide. "Ryley. Get up, NOW." Anko was instantaniously on her feet, kunai in hand. Ryley had no idea what was going on. From on top of the captains room at the back of the ship, a metallic voice came. "Ahh... Lucky us, there's only two of you." A trio of ninja were standing on top of the ship, bearing the emblem of the hidden village of Rain. All three had gas mask like contraptions covering their mouths, and blinkers covering their eyes. Each wore a tan jumpsuit. They had short, spiky hair, and were all fairly skinny, not looking very strong. But with a ninja you never could tell. Anko stood in front of Ryley and put a hand on her shoulder. "What is it you want, Rain?" said Anko, Her hand pressured Ryley, telling her to stay back with body language. The Rain ninja grinned, and the middle one spoke. "It would be unlucky to tell you, wouldn't it..." said the ninja. Jumping back he brought his hands together, staring down Anko and pouring his chakra into her. The Jounin noticed the Genjutsu attack instantly, and was fairly able to ignore it. This ninja was good though, possibly a specialist. His two companions rushed her, and she pushed Ryley back a few steps. Grabbing a second kunai, the three ninja became locked, Anko struggling for a second and then pushing the two of them back with a good amount of ease. "Heh... Nevermind Ryley, these guys are just punks. Join in whenever you like." Anko whipped one hand forward and several needles flew out of her sleeve at the leader of the three. He dodged quickly, but not quite quick enough, the attack grazing him and forcing him to drop his Genjutsu. "Kkh... Anko-sensei!" cried Ryley, making the Jounin turn around. A fourth Rain ninja was at the head of the ship, dressed in a blue jumpsuit. Holding Ryley with one hand by the neck, he held an umbrella in the other. Anko started towards him, very frightened, it looked like he was about to break little Ryley's neck. The Rain nin smiled, and Anko stood up straight, biting her thumb with one hand. A moment later, his hostage exploded in a gush of water. Ryley came out of nowhere, kicking at one of the mist ninja and pushing him forward. She brought out her nunchucks and moved next to Anko. "Nice, Ryley!" said the leaf Jounin, grinning. Quickly she made four hand seals and slammed her palm into the deck. "Kyuuchiyose no jutsu!" --- In the hold, the rest of the leaf ninja were sort of wondering if something was going on. There was a lot of noise coming from the front deck, but Ryley and Anko had just probably decided to have a duel, or something. Kousotsu was tending his plants and nodding off to sleep, and Gai was slowly waking up to the noises above. Toson was a little concerned, but busy talking to Zurui about the similarities of their coats. Yasuo was enjoying his Gai's asleep cigarette. Gai got up and scratched his hair, it falling naturally back into place. He hopped on to the ground and looked at Toson. "What time is it? How much longer?" Toson raised an eyebrow, his sensei was talking like a twelve year old. "Err, it's only been a couple of hours, Gai-sensei..." said the boy, his astonishment hidden behind his glasses. Gai yawned and turned around, only to see a small, blue snake slithering down the stairs. "Help!!!! Come quick! Anko and Ryley are being attacked!" it yelled in a high pitched voice. The entire group suddenly shot up. Gai looked at the group and rushed for his weapons. Ten seconds later they were all moving up the stairs, Gai in front with a scroll in each hand, and Yasuo close behind with his Shinzui. --- Anko and Ryley were having a bad time. Neither of them were used to fighting on a boat, or in this terrain, while their opponents seemed to have no problems. Furthermore, Anko's specialization in Ninjutsu was Earth types, which couldn't be used here. The blue suited ninja appeared to be a Jounin as well, and was at an equal footing with Anko when it came to Taijutsu. The two of them exchanged quick punches and kicks, neither gaining any ground on their opponent. Anko was doing two things at once though, occasionally throwing kunai and needles to ward off attacks on Ryley, who was dealing with an entire Genin team. The three of them were Genjutsu specialists and weak in Taijutsu, but not as weak as her, and even with her pair of water clones she couldn't keep up. As they broke the last of her bunshins, Ryley charged one of the blindfolded ninja with her nunchucks, only to be grabbed and thrown on the ground. "Heh... She can meld with the water... Just like that guy. How unlucky." said one of the Genin, standing over her with a double bladed kunai. Another joined in. "But she won't get away from us this time." Ryley couldn't dodge their next attack, she was as good as dead. Anko looked at her opponent and gritted her teeth. Her muscles started to flex and tighten, the sound actually being hearable by the other ninja on the deck. Even the captain saw it, although he was still intent on steering the ship. Even in battle you had to stay on course. Slamming her palm straight into the Rain Jounins gut, Anko threw him back to the front of the ship and was instantaniously over Ryley, staring down the three Genin. Her eyes had a fire in them, and she seemed much faster and stronger than before. The Rain nin jumped over her, meeting up with their leader and looking at him for guidance. Before Anko could make her attack, however, a green jumpsuited figure bounded over her, spinning and flipping several times. Gai landed on one knee, slamming the two scrolls onto the deck and balancing them. Bringing his hands above his face, he looked out at the enemy team. "Opening attack! Soushouryu!" yelled Gai, and with that the two scrolls shot into the air, spinning around Gai and carrying smoke with them in the form of a pair of Chinese dragons. Leaping up into the middle of the twirling helix, Gai came down spinning and touching scrolls, throwing nearly hundreds of projectiles at the enemy team. Kunai, shuriken, needles, fuuma shuriken, scythes, javalins, anything that could be thrown. Yasuo and the rest of them ran up behind Anko and Ryley and stopped, amazed at the sheer number of weapons being thrown. The enemy ninja balked, and then jumped off the ship, each one of them making a series of hand seals and then dissappearing in a cloud of smoke. Gai landed on the ground, rigid and with a face full of youthful anger. The two scrolls billowed off into the mist. "... That was awesome..." said Yasuo, very impressed by the move. It was better than any scroll trick he'd seen his father, Konoha's weapons master, perform. Gai turned around and looked at Anko, and the two of them nodded. Nobody was seriously hurt, but the fun part of the mission would end here. Whoever those ninja were, they would be back, definitely before the package arrived. Moving down to the hold and using summons to keep a lookout, the two of them made the situation clear to the Genin. They would be attacked again tomorrow. ~Outcome~ Mission continues, participants may email saying what they want to do.
